Hey, I'm not mad.

Just trying to gently (I thought it was gentle, anyway) prod the conversation back to the original topic.

Anime has been relatively mod-less recently, so there haven't been too many people watching out for threads wandering off topic.


Out of the three films I have only seen a fairly low quality copy of Spirited Away. I was charmed to say the least - I have never seen Anime before that wasn't at least R rated, so it made a nice change.

A bit confusing perhaps, but that's what second viewings are for.
 
spirited away is the best of the three,thats for sure.I own all three and Spirited Away was the only one that was worth the money.I love it though*huggles her copy*And Tabby,I'll try to keep the threads on topic from now on.

yeah but you disapeared for a year at one point and you disapear for several weeks and stuff.the worst is tim.he got twice as many posts as me in a month and I've been here like 3 years

Oh, why haven't I seen this thread before?! It's been going since 03!

I've seen all three movies and I LOVE them! Spirited away was great, but my favourite is Kiki's Delivery Service. I'm a sucker for cats, see, and that had one in. :D

Laputa wasn't so bad, though. I quite enjoyed it. And you forgot to mention Totoro! That's one of the greatest animes: A catbus, can't get much better than that! :p
 
Meowrr Leisha. Absolutely agree with you though I have a soft spot for Laputa: Castle In The Sky, which was the very first anime I ever watched. It was such a long time ago and at a Science Fiction & Fantasy convention. I didn't even know they made such wonderful movies until then. Needless to say I was totally hooked.

Have watched all three and yes, Spirited Away is absolutely splendid but my favourite of the three has to be Kiki's Delivery Service because of Jiji the Cat. Jiji is on the keyring that holds my car keys and I have a Jiji brooch on the coat I wear at work.

As for the thread - only seen Spirited Away and Laputa. I liked both, but prefered Laputa.:) (but prefer Mononoke and Naussica overall)
 
Laputa was quite good, and Spirited Away is awesome (I love those little soot balls and No Face is great, if somewhat eerie). But my favourite is Howl's Moving Castle. Absolutely love it.
 
I loved Laputa - it was the first anime film I ever saw, all those years ago - and whilst I'm a big fan of everything Ghibli/Miyazaki, my favourite would have to be Princess Mononoke, with Howl's Moving Castle a close second.

I've seen Laputa, Kiki's Delivery Service, and Spirited away. I think I got a little bit sick of Spirited away, because every time we watched a movie in Japanese, we'd watch that...it just got boring.
Laputa was excellent, and so was Kiki's Delivery Service, though it was aimed at a slightly younger audience I thought.

Apart from those, Mononoke Hime is my favourite. I havn't seen Nausicaa but I really want to. I havn't seen Howl's Moving Castle either but at some stage I think I've read the book that it's based on, and I enjoyed that.
