Gotta go with, wait have a few...
Salmissra! LOVE HER!!! Before and after Snake, so cold and calculating.
Polgara - far and away my favourite character, though there are a few times i'd like to slap her for her prudishness.
Kalten - for his moments with Sephrenia in the Tamuli...truly some of Eddings most touching writing. And of course being an amazing warrior.
Garion - similar to kalten's moment, but Garion to Adara "i'd rather chop off my arm than hurt her again" about polgara. And of course he is the star of the whole show.
Silk - from start to finish he kept me laughing and amazed. Ambar, Radek, and even Prince Kheldar, his characters are great.
Honourable mentions go to: Anheg, Ulath, Mirtai, Errand (pre-Erriond only), Stragen, Zandramas!, Urvon - crazy piebald, Beldin and Zedar - easily the most under-appreciated of all the characters in the books. I think its Polgara who writes that he gave the world its greatest gift and ended up entombed alive for eternity. (aside from her Greatest Gift to humanity being Belgarion who actually saved the world from annihilation - Erriond did not do that).
Dishonourable mentions must go to: (ie the characters i hate the most): Sparhawk!!!
Kurik - for thinking he had a right to tell Talen what to do!
Talen - for actually doing what Kurik told him to do!
Dolmant - from cool patriarch to the most annoying ego-maniac Arch-Prelate you could imagine. After seeing him in the Domes of Fire, I would have voted for Annias to win the throne. Right up until she faced him down for his imperialistic manner, i hated Ehlana too...but that redeemed her completely in my eyes.
Zakath! loathed this man. How dare he try to tell Belgarion what to do!!!!! Or to keep him prisoner 'for his own protection'
Ce'Nedra - hated her from the first instant Eddings begins to describe her, to the last pages of Polgara the Sorceress. Garion deserved better! I love her realisation in the Polgara epilogue - when she realises that Garion not only outranked her, but transcended her. It was like the slap - punch in the face that she had deserved right from the start.
