Most of what I've found...
Looking around, these were the first three spots that popped up on search with easy access:
"Abydos Database",
"Gateworld",
and
"Wildhorses" .
The movie didn't speficially say anything, but than, they had no clue that the basic premise would expand into a whole tv series.
Knowing Ra's place in the Egyptian pantheon of gods, I don't know how we could consider him anything *but* a ayatem Load.
JMPO, YMMV.
