Gatecon 2004 - Preliminary Guest List

I got ticket 318 or something is it good?

I just got my confirmation on the net is it a good ticket. And it's a super pass I hope it's not a number too far!
 
Not unusual...

It's not unusual not to hear specifics until a couple of months before the con itself - possible new jobs, shooting schedules, family obligations, etc. Heck, most of us didn't know about Michael this last year until he walked on stage... :D

the stargate schedule in July

I thought they were filming stargate in July. SO I dont understand why they can<t confirm. ANyway, I just hope that a lot of them can be there. I heard that the GATE Con is really big because it<s in VAncouver, plus its the last year of the show they are filming in febuary.

This is also the 5th Gatecon - 5 yr anniv!! ;)

So - the C4 might be planning some big stuff -- dunno - haven't heard yet -- but it's gonna be cool no matter what!


And, as far as MS and AT for 'confirmation' - anything's possible - it depends on their personal life schedules as well as their professional ones -

The rest of the gang - anything could be going on for them - JR's always working on something - same w/ CC and even Corin - and not everyone lives in the Vancouver area --- at least not all the time -- but GC being in Vancouver is beneficial in that many of the actors *are* in the area --

We just have to wait and see -- probably on about April, we'll start hearing confirmations -- that'll be about 3 months before GC - yeah - that sounds about right...
 
shooting

They're wrapping earlier this year than usual [a tighter shooting schedule and only 20 eps rather than 22] that's one of the reason we've moved the con date - to catch folks while they're still in the area.

And you have to remember, an actor's contract to the con has an 'escape' clause - if they have another business offer, like a movie or tv series contract, that has first priority. So our guests have tried to be very nice and not commit too early when they don't know what the rest of the working schedule is like.

A con is fun, but it doesn't have the exposure and work experience that gets these folks ongoing jobs in the outside world. We respect this and understand if they end up with other commitments. We're for fun. A real job may be a long-term income.

When Allan said Frida Betrani and Alex Zahara were on the list, was that, they were asked and/or that they replied and said they were coming?

Anyone know who has definitely confirmed? I know it is preliminary still, but Allan you said that Frida and Alex were definite confirmed as "YES" ....

Did anyone make it to Bellvue to see AT and if so, is it true she said she was most likely going to Gatecon because it might be the last one (with the show)? (Something along those lines were heard from a hyper fan. I'd just like to make sure she actually said it though.)

I could certainly deal with Adam Baldwin. Since I'm also a 'Firefly' fan, this would do me double.

Not posted before... it's taken me this long to recover from the shock...

That list doesn't include Peter Williams?

Don't think I can go a whole year without a hug off Peter and he's not booked at ANYTHING so far this year. So any chance guys?
 
Personally -- I wanna see Peter Wingfield --- but - heard he's hard to grab -- but - try anyway!!! *begs*

C'mon though - image the happy Highlander fans - not to mention - I've read/heard Peter Wingfield is great at cons! (can't type 'PW' for him in the SG-1 section b/c that's the OTHER Peter W.) - :D
