Guesses for Book 7 (Assume **spoilers** for all previous 6 books!!)

IM SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO EXCITED !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! YEAH... the other portrait (i think it was mentioned a possible) in St. Mungos and/or The Ministry of Magic!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

SOOO SOON!

Its more like he should be killed because he needs to be but Rowling doesn't have the guts to kill him.

under a month WHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

Again I think Upright is excited. I go away to the snow for a week the day after it is released. So my sisters will get to read it then I come back and be happy and read it.

I don't follow the books but I thought Harry was meant to be killed Is that correct?

well... its a matter of opinion ther. if u read the books, you will find many clues and ideas to mould your own opinion on who should, could, would, most-likely etc. to die... i advise you to read the books as they contain better info than the movies and the movies slightly change/ leave out alot of the storyline.:rolleyes::eek:

GET READING BEFORRE DEATHLY HALLOWS COME OUT!

SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO EXCITED>>>>> LESS THAN A MONTH NOW..........................................................

I WANT Harry to die - and Dumbles does actually say in book five (i think) that every headmaster/mistress of hogwarts has two portraits- think Phineas Nigellus and that other one (i can't remember her name)

Why do you think I said damn after "I don't think he will die" He annoys me.

Not all have two portraits, only ones who did great things. Dumby happens to fall into that category so I would say he has more then one. Also chocolate frog cards (can they speak in them?)

I think that Dumbledore is alive and I have logic to back it up:

Rowling RARELY mentions something for no reason. I believe that the reason that Harry has to brew the draft of living death in the early parts of the book in order to win the Felix Felicis (luck potion) is to establish its existence. Not to mention that Polyjuice potion keeps popping back up. I believe that what really happened is this:

Dumbledore saw Draco as a potential Death Eater recruit what with Lucius being a death eater. So he prepared a polyjuice potion of himself and malfoy. When a weakened Dumbledore told the young Malfoy that he could change the future he may have actually convinced him.

As Snape raced up the stairs with Avada Kadavra on the tip of his tongue, Draco and dumbledore downed their potions and switched their robes. The potion that malfoy downed however was laced with the draft of living death. As Snape uttered the curse, "Dumbledore" fell. But as he was already in a deathlike state, perhaps the curse was ineffective. So it was that "Draco Malfoy" went off to join the death eaters on the heels of Snape. In reality, it's dumbledore as a wonderful infiltrator (hope he has plenty of polyjuice).
We see Draco hesitate, but I believe that that was Dumbledore having trouble leaving the school behind in this hour of need. But he realizes he has no choice and is commited. So he follows snape.

Meanwhile, Draco Malfoy is protected from Voldemort and Lucius Malfoy by the fact that neither one knows that he is actually sleeping away a simulated death in Dumbledore's crypt.

Now some may say that the portrait of Dumbledore appearing is proof of his death. I say that there is no documentation of how enchanted talking moving portraits are made. The fact that McGonnigal is ACTING headmistress only proves further that Dumbledore will be back if he has anything to say about it.

But Dumbledore said "No Severus. Please Severus." For him not to kill him. Malfoy would have called him Snape not Severus I'm sure. And surely Malfoy would not have pleaded to him like that. He would have come up and said "No it's me, Malfoy blah blah blah" Because like the sorting hat says "Slytherins are only interested in saving their own tail" And I DO think that the pictures being there of Dumbledore does mean he is dead. And the Polyjuice potion would have worn off when they were carrying Dumbledore under that cover to the grave. The other Headmistresses and Headministers have pictures there and there is no mention of someone alive being able to be in a portrait. Unless you mean like the one Moody showed to Harry. But I think the Headministers or Mistresses have to be dead for thier picture to be up on the wall. Snape is obviously on the bad side, he made the unbreakable vow to help and carry on Malfoy's mission if he died or failed.

ah but snarf, isnt it a little bit convienient that dumbledore froze harry on top of the tower. why did he do it unless he knew snape was going to kill him because that was part of a vow he made with snape ages ago. cmon aint it odd that dumbledore trusts him outright and that he allowed him to teach in hogwarts. therefore by him freezng harry to stop snape from killing dumble, rowling thus proves that dumbledore was meant to die...or to make us believe he did

also with the point that the polyjuice potion wearing off, theres nothing stopping them giving him another dose even if he's dead, magic still works on the dead you know...ahem inferi prove that point

also i think the 12 uses of dragons blood plays apart in all this, or at least the draught of the living dead

There is a strong atmosphere of anticipation in the air thus we can't stop making predictions that we know that J.K is doing her best to go around. As for me there are just too many theories half of which could be possible and the next just looking for the best ending im thinking of.

Hogwarts will reopen: (Solid Evidence) As JK said that someone in Harry's class will become a teacher.

Harry will return to Hogwarts due to strong persuasion from an unknown character, but will nonetheless go to Godrics Hollow on one of his little expeditions. (Probable)

Dumbledore is dead as in dead dead dead. But due to the benefits of being headmaster he will be able to provide advise for Harry.

With Dumbledore dead Voldemort will move in the open and both Wizarding and Muggle world will feel his wrath.

Voldemort will destroy the Ministry of Magic (Probable)

Ginny & Neville's magical talents will shine like we've never seen it. There powers will be influenced as Fred/George and Neville's Grand Mother will die.

Aurthur/Molly will die or Mr./Mrs. Granger.

Hagrid Will be taken down by Voldemort himself. (Guesswork)

Grawp's fury will be shown. (Guesswork)

Hufflepuff's Cup, Slytherin's Locket will be destroyed. (Solid Theory)

Gryffindor's Sword was somehow made into a horcrux at some previous time. (Guesswork)

Something pertaining to knowledge will be the horcrux of Ravenclaw.

Harry, Ron & Hermione will attempt being animagus, will succeed. This will be there first weapon on infiltrating Voldemort. (Guesswork)

R.A.B is not Regulus Black. (According to JK)

Snape has a good streak in his dark nature thats why dumbledore has trusted him to the end. (Probable)

Snape is working for himself being one of the most accomplished legilimens he is able to fool the two greatest wizards in the world.

Peter Pettigrew will die saving harry in order to pay his wizarding debt to harry for saving him. (probable)

Ron & Malfoy will have a nice little confrontation

The trio will master the magic behind the Avada Kedavra

Hermione will kill Bellatrix in a face - off

Sirius is dead and had to die for a reason. (According to JK)

Hogwarts grounds/ Godrics Hollow will be the place of confrontation between Harry & Voldemort.

Voldemort has a weakness. The Blood that runs through his veins belongs to harry and will be part of Voldemort's Downfall. In (GOF) when harry told Dumbledore of how Voldemort's resurrection happened, there was a gleam of triumph in dumbledore's eyes for a fleeting second.

Harry will return to the department of mysteries before Voldemort destroys the Ministry of Magic to find out more about the veil and will end up finding more about the locked room in the Department of mysteries.

Harry will use the power contained within the Department of Mysteries to finish Voldemort. As Dumbledore told him that the power contained within the room is more powerful than nature and human Intelligence and as Voldemort has stretched the boundaries of magic so far, only that power is great enough to destroy him. (One of my strongest theories)

Ron will die to save Hermione. (Most likely)

Harry will be stripped of magic after he had to use all of his to defeat Voldemort.

Voldemort will be vanquish in the end.

The Wizarding World will be rid of evil until Draco junior is born. (LOL). (Most Unlikely)

After his magic has drained he refuses to return to the Dursleys, But takes up residence with the Ginny

Hermione ends up being with Neville.

Since the final word in the book is scar...........i think the last sentence is. And only the creator & the bearer will know the true reason behind the great Scar. (Total Guesswork)

*There some left out but i guess these will do

Dumbledore froze Harry after Snape & co. burst through the door, knowing that harry would be his usual hotheaded self and try and take on all the death eaters single handaedly (you know he would). on the point of trusting him, its a bit of a coincidence that it is Snape is the one Dumbledore asks to teach harry occlumency - he's very good at it, otherwise Voldie would have killed him ages ago, as snape says himself in HBP.

Inferi are just animated corpses, so they cannot be used to prove your point because technically they are bewitched objects - they're already dead.

i do agree that dragon's blood is somewhow important, however, JK mentions it a few times

Although it's not been mentioned yet, could Dumbledore's "defeat" of the giant in 1945 be relevant at all? Or was the detail on the card mostly to hide the relationship with Flamel?

Yes, I believe JK's said that is VERY relevant (Dumbledore's dealings back in 1945, which is also World War time). :)
