ASOIAF badass

IT BURNS, IT BURNS, OH GOD IT BURNS.

He'd only say that in response to the hot sauce he cooked those dragon wings in, then just wash it down with a barrel of ale.

Is that before or after Ser Barristan and Belwas ripped his arms and legs off and used them as door props?

The Khaleesi of the Great Grass Sea is SO bad ass, she has lesser bad asses serving her. The Greatjon is just an old, cold fat man. He's got nothing on the Mother of Dragons!

In fact, the Greatjon is SO fat, Dany could burn up just him and hatch FOUR dragons!

I think we are reading 2 different books....as I recall, Dany would flinch at the thought of a "stern pinching" from her brother.....

Some psychological scars run deeper than physical ones. Even The Hound, a true and true badass hates and is somewhat affraid of his brother.

I invite someone to write up a new badass of the week to put an end to this schoolyard (my Dad can beat up your Dad) bickering...please...

Until A Dance With Dragons comes out, I think this is pretty much what you can expect. ;)

i doubt the hound is afraid of his brother still, fire yes.
s for dany, you best remember that dany does not equal her dragons. Those are 2 entire differnt things, a dragon and dany, as well as with her protectors, you must look at the person in itself.
She is in not that strong at all, most of her choices came from desperation rather then real strenght. As for being married to a strange man is really that incredible terryfying that it breaks them apart, well then a great deal of nobly ladys have become simpering fools during the wars. Wich i found highly unlikely. You must not forget that it is a different mindset entirely and that it aint so big a deal in westeros, moreover among the nobles it is probably to a certain degree common.

You know Kiwi, you start out strong, then punctuation and grammar steal a lot of your momentum....

What the strange marsupial is trying to say is....sure Dany has the dragons, and the dragons merit badassness consideration...but Dany is not the dragons, and does not intrinsicly deserve the same right.

And the rest really didnt make sense to me. But what he's saying is true, Badassness is an attitude...Dany doesnt have that.

Belwas would be a good example...he doesnt just kill people, he lets people cut them because he likes to count the scars and know how many people he's killed.

Bronn wouldnt be considered one because theres just nothing boisterous about his nature, but the Red Viper is because his life and attitude are writ quite large against the night sky...just examples.

Dany while capable in her own right, and the mother of Dragons....is not a badass

All Hail Greatjon Umber...the greatest badass of Westeros.

Well then who wants a bad ass? Dany's got the best ass ever. I don't understand this fascination with posteriors.

I must have missed something, since when did w get a descriotion of Dany's ass? I think it would be a tad too skinny still atm, perhaps with age

rumoured to be, and that is because of her unusual haircolour and eyes

Personally, I like Dany. But she is not a badass. A lot of her badass credit is coming from the whole fire business, but as I remember she walked into the fire and was unburnt. Now, if she would have gone into the fire, been burned badly and then just shrugged it off, then she would be a badass. Its like if the Greatjon would have had the direwolf snap at him and miss and then laugh at it. Would you still call him a badass?

I think the whole "badass" quality is greatly overrated. Who cares if you are stupid and laugh at having your hand bitten off? I much prefer characters like Petyr and Varys who are just so smooth. I mean, their coolness and style is simply phenomenal. And Dany...she has style.

Fine, maybe the fact that Dany is but a teenage girl dimishes her "badassness" quality but anybody that can stand in the main square facing 20,000 unsullied and their masters and whip the guy in the face and have her little pet melt his face off, got me sold on Dany. Sure, she uses her power to do what she thinks is "right" i.e. free slaves, etc. but she has more depth than a character like the Greatjon (whom I am very fond of as well).

My list of true badasses:
The Hound
The Red Viper
Victarion
Strong Belwas
Jaime
Euron
Tyrion
Littlefinger
Asha
Khal Drogo

Dany = not a b.a

Randall tarly = not a b.a

Greatjohn = slightly b.a

You forgot the biggest badass of them all = Robert Arryn

Yes, SW, Arya definetly is a badass. So is Jaqen.

What about Beric Dondorrian or Thoros of Myr? I mean, coming back from the dead, rebelling aganist your king, killing Freys and Lannisters and flaming swords and all.
