Storm of Swords Tournament base of operations

Usually the chair person would abstain from voting unless a tie were to take place, but I think in this case lets just say Da Wiggs counts as two in case of a tie....really its not that big of an issue...I just like structure, and rules....otherwise the universe would explode...really it would, wheres my taffy?

Wow, bracket one is a ball-buster.

Actually I think bracket 3 is the "Group of Death"

I can't believe Barristan Selmy ended up with the Mountain first off. If he wins this thing he'll not have a harder contest.

And I can't believe Ned got Randyll Tarly...it's the Red Wedding all over again :(

I have no issue abstaining, it'll be the easiest way to resolve a tie.

I may not vote but my voice WILL be heard ;)

Greatsword on greatsword, Ice versus Heartsbane... I'd pay to see that. Sadly, as much as I love Ned, I think Tarly would win. He is more of a warror. Ned would never have anything to do with a contest like this.

How about switching Stannis for Jorah Mormont?

Probably not a bad idea, if I remember it when I get to Stannis' round.

Next matches are up, Jamie and Bronn have moved to the next round.

A quick question Wiggum, have you decided which brackets take on which in the second round?

Or, sorry i expanded this two 2 posts, will each bracket produce a winner down to the final four?

No.

I don't want to loose a strong competitor simply because they were placed in an unfortunate bracket.

I'll recombine brackets into two after this round, but I don't want to commit to which ones. I'd like to get an idea about balance before I decide.

The eight that are left after that will be combined into another two brackets of four competitors each for the quarters.

I know you are going to switch the matchups, but looking at the first bracket, would love to see the rematch between Brienne and Jaime!

After looking at your bracket I may leave it as is, do it college basketball style.

I'll see how it all pans out.

It's all good, either way. Someone will be a little ruffled no matter what. I just like the fact we have something awesome to post about!

Thanks again Wiggum for throwing this all out there!

By the way, I have a short stack on Robert Baratheon taking everyone down with the war-hammer:eek: !

Another potentially interesting matchup is Rheagar v Robert, man that would be a pay-per-view I would jump on!

You would watch it for sport? In that one battle a kingdom was destroyed, a new one raised, a dynasty fell, and the lives of everyone in Westoros were irrevocably changed for better or worse.

Oh stop Weirwood.....why do you always cry Doom and Flames and Dragons....?(thats a joke by the way). Let the man have his Pay Per View....itd be better than Wrestlemania or whatever they are and any boxing match Ive seen in a while.......

Actually the pay-per-view I get is a little more adult!

Just kidding, I can't afford any pay-per-view!!!!!!!!!

Much like the World Series. Just kidding. Sorry, the playoffs are starting this week. I have baseball on the brain.

Besides, we read about it for sport. Watching would just take it out of our heads and put it in front of us.

Ah...sometimes I forget it's not real...

I was about to say something about gladitorial fights and the bloodthirsty public...

Oh if the Yankees lose this year does Steinbrenner do the thumbs down thing and Jeter gets his head cut off?

See, Id watch that.....
