Thunder Cats and other cartoon

Oh, I remember these! Thundercats! I had the video of that! And the action figures! (well, ok, they were my brothers, but I stole them often to play with them!) We had some He-man (ha, what a name!) figures as well, with this strange barrel in their chests that clicked and turned, so it looked like their chests were getting battered each time another figure 'hit' them!!
And Dogtanian! I loved that guy so much, I adopted him as my imaginary friend!!
Anyone remember count Duckula? I only just about remember that, but the strange baby thing from it was also one of my imaginary friends (I did make up some as well, I didn't pinch them all from TV!)
Annnddd...what else did I grow up with...well, of course the Turtles, Raphael being my favourite...and Transformers (robots in disguise!)...Ah, I loved them all!

I just found this thread, but wow! I remember Thundercats - one of my favourite programmes when I was young. Rushing home from school to see the likes of Thundercats, Jayce and the Wheeled Warriors and Battle of the Planets.... Ah, nostalgia...:)

Merchandising used to come after the show - figurines and what not - but now they seem to think of a product and then gear the show to sell as many as possible. I can't think of the name of it but there's that show around at the moment where the characters pretty much just play the card game. How freakin' exciting! Give me mutant turtles kicking the crap out of robot ninjas any day.

Gotta disagree there, big fan of most of the cartoons mentioned so far and Transformers would have to be right up there with the best of em and that was a 100% 30min advert made by a toy company.

If you remember the original movie it wasn't all that popular at the time, atleast partially because it killed off some favourite characters, apparently they actually wanted to kill off pretty much all the current characters to make way for the new line but were told it would just be too much.

Ulysses and City of Gold (that was the aztec one?) were both great atleast partialy because they had an ongoing storyline as did the anime ones like Astroboy, Battle of the Planets and Robotech. Anyone remember Space Ghost or the one where a family was lost in the land of dinasours? I think that they were 70's but still showing.

Ah, Raccoons...another classic :D

Mumm-ra was another of the figures that I pinched from my brother to play with. And yeah, he was pretty scary, whenever he got all crazy and his cloak and bandages would fly off!

I have a video of Thundercats somewhere, hidden away in the dust. Ah, childhood memories! Used to love watching that.

Yeah, I remember Panthro. And the Leopard bloke. And...the Lion one. And there were those two strange twins. And the crazy red cat...Snarf? Lol.

Note: Ooh! 700th post. Yay.

I used to like Thunder Cats, but saw it a few days ago, & didn't like it that much. But absolutely love Dungeons & Dragons though...

Someone mentioned Visioneries earlier in the thread about a year ago some friends and I where trying to remember the name of this classic cartoon and it took a long time and internet searching to find the answer. I don't think anyone has mentioned M.A.S.K. another childhood favourite although the best was Battle of the Planets
