So with Jorah sent away by Dany, do you think he will try to return to Bear Island and seek forgiveness? Would Maege accept him back after his crimes or will he be the informant and tell all about Dany in return for his name being cleared?

Personally I think he will still follow Dany around, but he may tire of it after a while. When he is at his most vulnerable he may spill the beans. Perhaps he will meet up with Tyrion to brief him on Dany's state of mind and protocol.

I think he can make a real difference depending on what he does.

Ideas anyone?

though i agree he could spill the beans on dany, i don't consider him any more than a minor nuisance to her plans, as most of the Westerosi lords of consequence are aware of Dany's location and likely intention to invade. I mean Prince of Dorne is sending his son to court her, as he had intended to do with Arianne and Viserys.
Jorah is no more dangerous than anyone in Dany's 'court' and it would be Barristan or Illyrio that could most hurt her. Barristan the Bold's opinion would carry great weight if he chose to oppose her, and Illyrio's power could be far greater than GRRM has yet revealed.
i also doubt that Maege would forgive him. His own father could not. He brought shame to their family and exile was kind. He should have been packed off to the Wall himself.

I don't think he will head back to Bear Island although somewhere else in Westeros is not completely outside the bounds of possibility.
However, I think he'll continue to stalk Dany for the meantime, his bitterness slowly growing...

i agree with that. His only threat to Dany might indeed be his lust for her... I foresee an unpleasant attack upon the young queen's person and the agonising death that follows for her attacker.

One way or another Jorah is going to end up at the wall. He will probably meet up with Sam in Oldtown, or wherever Sam goes, and Sam will tell him the Old Bear's last wish, that he take the black. That part makes sense from the text, this next part is speculation by me. Once on the wall Jorah will be a strong voice in support of Dany and will be a big part of why John sides the watch with her. Thats just my little theory.

No, he will redeem himself by saving Dany's life after one of her current entourage attempts to kill her as they are working for those in Quaith (I think it's Quaith...think TK.....anywho...) who want her dead.

He may fade into oblivion.

Also his punishment was OK in that world. You must'n forget slavery is allowed in half of GRMM's World

im hoping arya ends up killin him

Why would she? He's not important enough for someone to hire an assasin. Unless, he betrayed Dany in a big way and she hired Arya to kill him...no my crystal ball says redemption in his future.

I hope so. I rather liked him and I don't see him turning rapist either. But he's not a man who can comfortably live under a higher authority, it seems, especially when he disagrees with the decisions made. It would be rather tragic and very dark in a GRRM way to have him turn traitor once again on Dany, and rather romance-novel esque to have him faithfully trail after her all this time(No offence, TK - just my theory). I think he might go elsewhere to escape his pain and try to raise an army for her from another source, seeking forgiveness that way.

I said that didn't I? Well, its good to know someone agrees with me.

whilst i can see it happening - the night watch siding with one or other king/queen. I really don't think that Jon will side them with anyone in particular. The Night Watch is at the Wall, they will remain there, and they will remain neutral as they always have. Jon's sense of honour - instilled in him by Ned Stark - is too strong for him to break tradition in such a way.

Prepare for the inevitable "Jon is a weak man who broke his vows and now he can make sweet love to Dany" posts.....those always seem to come. Nevermind the fact that the guilt has driven Jon to the point of raw depression-tainted focus....

On another front... Nightwatch in the field is not really a significant force...when you speak of numbers the Nightswatch and the southron knights dont really compare. Im sure someone can quote the numbers Jon mentioned during one of Mance's interrogations, but I remember them being about a thousand...maybe more. Its the wall that makes them significant and it only works against attacks from the north.

Oh and Jorah going to the wall? I like that idea. With Jons desperation for men and information, Jorah might become a reasonable advisor to Jon in the Dany situation to come.

And when Jorah sees that Jon wears his own sword? To know that the ******* son of Eddard Stark, his most hated enemy, was chosen by the Old Bear, Jorah's own father, to be Jeor's heir... I think Jorah, if he goes to The Wall, will be incredibly bitter towards Jon.

I hadnt thought of that, then again perhaps it is because i have never truly considered Jorah going to the wall

Wow, yes, if he ever sees Jon wearing Longclaw it'll be an interesting scene! Although would he recognise it now that it has the wolf head pommel instead of the bear one?

a pommel is a rather short part of the sword and easily replacable so i am thinking yes

If you think Jorah would be pissed about the sword, wait until Jon is revealed as a Targaryen and marries Dany!
