Mormont Family Values

Right on, Yoss.

Jon the ******* is everything that Ser Jorah should have been. Faithful heir of Jeor, commander of men, possessor of a woman's love even after she fights against him, owner of Valyrian Steel, and future husband of Dany.

i so cannot see Jon marrying Dany. It makes no sense whatsoever.

Also the theory that he's Lyanna's child to Rhaegar is so weak its laughable. as far as i recall, Lyanna was killed by Rhaeger after he'd raped her and that was what drove Robert to raising an army and destroying the Targaryens...

One way or another Jorah is going to end up at the wall. He will probably meet up with Sam in Oldtown, or wherever Sam goes, and Sam will tell him the Old Bear's last wish, that he take the black. That part makes sense from the text, this next part is speculation by me. Once on the wall Jorah will be a strong voice in support of Dany and will be a big part of why John sides the watch with her. Thats just my little theory.
I agree to, wall is his end! and he will be incredibly bitter towards Jon.

you are blind, theory is very good, you need to reread book 1, Ned parts(he was with her after Rhaegar)!

No, Robert thinks he raped and killed Lyanna.
Now it may or may not be that he abducted her too the tower of joy, and he may or may not have raped her there, we really dont know what really happened for sure.
What we do know is that Eddard found Lyanna in her deathbed, been protected/guarded by 3 of the kingsguard. How she died we do not know, but the speculation being she died of giving childbirth is highly likely.

Also while Robert may have gone to war for Lyanna sake alone, the rest of the Lords only joined up after The Mad King went well Mad and ordered the heads of all those remotely involved with Ned older brothers party who went to kings landing demanding the death of Rheagar (i might be a bit wrong about this part but i dont think so) upon wich the Mad king seized the party , made the fathers come to court, killed the whole bunch and demanded even more blood.

Im secretly snickering at you....secretly so you dont notice....

Seriously, that was Roberts version of the events yes....but theres so much more out there that points in a different direction. Im not saying its fact or anything but to call it laughably weak is not my idea of being open-minded.

TK, my name is Boaz, not Ser Boros (though, I am a coward)... and you are not Joffrey to order me around hitting defenseless girls... or grins, whatever the case may be.

Still, dg seems to be a heretic. There is only one way to deal with heretics... an inquisition. NOBODY expects the Chronicles Inquisition!

Ha! Ha!

Ohhh, do we get to wear those pointy hats and deny that the Earth revolves around the sun...throw in a bottle of shiraz and some tapas and I'm so there. :)

You did not expect the Chronicles Inquisition?

Yes, yes says the angry mob with pitchforks and torches. Let's accuse and persecute the heretics that don't support our theories, starting with those who speak blasphemy by not believing that Jon is a Targaryen!

TIE THEM TO THE STAKE AND BURN THEM!!!!

Nobody expects the Chronicles Inquisistion!

Right! If that's the way you want it... Boaz! Poke them with the soft cushions!:D

Not the soft cushions! You'll break dg before we even get going...

Among our awesome weaponry are surprise and gossip... Yes, our two weapons are surprise, gossip, and crackpot theories.

In my heart of hearts I know that Jon (son of Rhaegar and Lyanna), Tyrion (son of Aerys II and Joanna Lannister), and Varys (birth name was Visaerys, nicknamed Varys, offspring of Duncan Targaryen, ie. he is Dany's second cousin) are all Targaryens.

Also, Hodor is one of Robert's bastards.

Back to the Mormonts... Jorah mentions his wife, but he never mentioned any offspring. Did it hurt too much to admit to Dany that he left his daughter when he fled? Would he willingly have spared his child the stress of exile? Do you suppose the little girl leading the Mormonts is Jorah's daughter?

Nah, i think that Dacey was the old bear daughter, or niece

I am lost, all this targaryens?Jon is targaryen but Tryon and Varys?Who is Duncan targaryen?

stonStark, sometimes we (okay, I admit I'm often the we) postulate unfounded theories.

Duncan Targaryen Targaryen Family Tree ~ Tower of the Hand was the older brother of Jaehaerys II Targaryen who was the father of Aerys II "the Mad King" Targaryen who was the father of Danaerys Targaryen. I just made the stuff about Varys up. But a year ago or so, I posted (Lord knows in which thread) that Varys might be a nickname for Viserys, sort of like how Dany is for Danaerys. What if the old spelling was Visaerys? Visaerys What if an unwanted son, or a political embarrassment, or a presumed stillborn were spirited away and raised elsewhere? What if that child returned with some unknown agenda? The only things we know about Varys personally are what he told Tyrion... we have no idea if that information is the truth.

In another lost thread, I theorized (I don't know if I was the first or not) that Tyrion might be the ******* of Aerys II and Lady Joanna Lannister (Tywin's wife). First, Tywin was Aerys' Hand, but for some reason he quit. When it was obvious that Robert was going to win, Tywin sacked King's Landing. He did not merely gain possession of the city for Robert, he allowed his men to murder, rape, and pillage the capital city! Why? I think Tywin wanted vengeance, not because Aerys was a jerk, because he suspected Aerys of having relations with his wife. Second, We know that Aerys was crazy enough to rape his own wife... so why not someone else's wife? Third, Tyrion's physical deformities might be the product of inbreeding... as the Targaryens did. Tyrion's blonde hair is almost silvery white like many of the Targaryens. Tyrion's eyes are mismatched, green and black... black is not too far from deep purple. Fourth, Tyrion is fascinated with Dragons. Tyrion figured out how to use the Targaryen Pyromancers to burn Stannis' fleet. Tyrion once told Bran something to the effect, "On horseback, you'll be as tall as any of them." I think that Tyrion secretly desires to ride dragonback and be taller and greater than anyone.

Anyway, there is no real proof to these theories, just speculation.

In any case i think we soon gonna meet some lost Descendants of the Great Bastards in aDwD. the ones Tyrion is soon gonna meet
