Web Comics

Some more webcomic gems I've discovered, for those who need something to read this summer:

Rice Boy
Surreal art, magnificent story. This one is truly a must read.

Errant Story
Manga-style, fantasy-setting; very complex and interesting cast, albeit very text- and backstory-heavy, and relatively small fonts.

Gunnerkrigg Court
Heavily reminiscent of Gormenghast, with excellent setting, plot, art and characters, this is one of my favourites.

Gone with the Blastwave
Satiric nihilism from a war-zone. High-quality art, though a little slow on the update.

Dominic Deegan: Oracle for Hire
Daily updates, simple manga style, excellent plot and characterizations. It'll take you forever to move through the archives, though.

Webcomics update (come on, folks, someone must be reading some of these):

XKCD
Stick figures in a well-written comic offering very inside jokes for anyone interested in maths, computers, internet and velociraptors.

The Book of Biff
One panel of daily updates following the inventive (and usually near-fatal) escapades of the eponymous protagonist Biff.

Some of these are great! I'd heard of web comics but never tracked any down. Thanks for putting all these up! I might end up wasting as much time on these as I do on the Chrons - help me?!

I read three web comics regularly:

Girl Genius,
Gunnerkrigg Court &
Pibgorn

The first and the last for the art and story, the middle one because it reminds me of my old school.

I love web comics and have a few to recommend.

First, Dinosaur Comics, where the same pictures are used every strip, and just the words are changed (it is genius): qwantz.com - dinosaur comics - March 09 2009.

Second, A Lesson is Learnt but the Damage is Irreversible, which actually hasn't been running for a while, but is exceptionally well-drawn and breathtakingly brilliant: A Lesson Is Learned But The Damage Is Irreversible

Third, the Perry Bible Fellowship, which is HILARIOUS: The Perry Bible Fellowship

Fourth, the one I'm reading at the moment, Something Positive. This one is sometimes in bad taste and I don't know why I am so hooked on it, but I am: No one loves you but us, and if you leave us, we'll find you.

Finally, I would second other's recommendation for Order of the Stick, I love it to bits: http://www.giantitp.com/comics/oots0001.html

I have read lots of others but I think that's enough for now. :p

I currently read Sinfest adn VG cats... however, having had a sneaky-peek at a few of the links, I think there are a few more I am going to have to add! Lunch-times just aren't going to be long enough anymore to read all of these :D
