WhiskeyJack (Contains Spoilers)

This thread lives, I say!

I think, as much as it pains me to say it, that he's definitely dead. Despite hints earlier that after Coral, he wanted out, no more fighting; he'd fake his own death if necessary, so that he could disappear completely: "Shall I be seen to be slain then have my body vanish like Dassem did?" But I think his death was a little too real to be fake  Plus, I'd doubt he'd do that to Korlat.

But there's hope, as Paran blessed the Bridgeburners before he left Moon's Spawn and there's that new glow that dances in the chamber after they've left...

(I've only just finished Memories of Ice, so if I'm saying stuff that is revealed in later books, don't point and laugh (or at least do it behind my back!))

Don't worry, Hoops, I think you're safe. :p

---

My thoughts - Ascended. All the Bridgeburners have, and since WJ is a BB, he must have ascended too. Don't think we'll see him back, either, though I wouldn't be surprised is he's mentioned a lot.

---

In response to Jason, and how XXXXX is the last to be back, surely not! There's at least one other that MUST return in some form.

*SPOILER ALERT - BONEHUNTERS*

Kalam is in the Deadhouse, and Shadowthrone commented that he hoped he got him there in time, which implies that Kalam will either go the way of Rallick and Vorcan from GotM, or go the way of Dancer and Kellanved and become part of the 'ruling bunch' in the Realm of Shadow. Knight of Shadow, maybe? If Erikson just throws in a random sentence saying that Kalam died of his wounds, I will be royally peeved.

Spoilers if you have'nt read The BONEHUNTERS

I'm about two thirds into this one and Cottilion states that Shadowthrone regrets what he did to WJ, turning away a healers touch when offered. Therefore I'd say WJ's definatley dead and has ascended with the other Bridgeburners.

Okay go back to Bone Hunters when Salmar Dev is talking to the leader of the tribe. Read about the king of the UnFound. Paste it together with the leader undead army in toll the hounds. He strikes me as very familar. The physical description is dead on and the way he talks to the subordinates is familar as well. Get back to me on what you think.
Chapter 12 Bone Hunters sorry but i dont have toll the hounds infront of me.
