What comic books/graphic novels are you reading at the moment?

:giggle: G-whiz, they are the same! Now how many comic books start with “G”? Or artists, writers? Dick Giordano, and... I’m drawing a blank. But I’m tired.

I use the excellent Perfect Viewer on my Android phone (mainly for obscure manga), there is a dual-layer way to run it on a PC (and both components are freeware).

However, I haven't tried it, just went looking for a way it could be done, so caveat emptor, an' all that. Hope it works! Download Perfect Viewer on PC & Mac with AppKiwi APK Downloader

I downloaded it, but I don't know how it works for comic books. It appears to be designed for videos or games only.

Have you gained any information on this software since posting January 24th, 2021?

Thanks for suggesting it.

Looks like they've switched the software to run via the LD Player environment. Instructions can be found here: Download Perfect Viewer 4.7.1.4 on Windows Pc #com.rookiestudio.perfectviewer

Please note, I don't use the PC version, I run PerfectViewer on my Android phone, so can't say if the PC/Mac software set up is any good.

Star Wars Knight of the Old Republic. I want to get the issue where Revan first gets his mask, but it goes for about 350 dollars on ebay.

I hear there is a sequel to Watchmen, something about Dr Manhattan interfering with the DC Universe, sounds interesting, must keep an eye out for it.

One of my favorite post Stan Lee comic writers Chuck Dixon does a superlative job adapting Dean R. Koontz’s updating of Ms. Shelly’s science fiction classic. Since the library does not have Volume 2 I will now have to seek out the book to see how this amazing story ends.

Halfway through The Book of Mr Natural by Robert Crumb. Very enjoyable.

I just finished Sweet Tooth by Jeff Lemire. It was weird and pretty horrific at times, but in the best way. They're coming out with a Netflix adaptation next month but the trailer doesn't look very promising in my opinion.

A binding of a couple of months of Spirou from 2006. It's annoying reading the start (or ends) of serials I have no way of finishing yet but I'm just picking these up as and when I can afford them and will eventually finish the stories.

This volume includes wee visits to other comic art cultures around the world. Argentina, Cameroon, Italy etc. Polish sound effects are something else!

People ask silly prices on eBay sometimes. I recently bought one of these dated from 1959 in pretty good condition but missing an issue (apart from the covers) and was then able to buy the missing copy pretty cheaply from somewhere else, rip off the cover then glue it in and trim it down - all for less than some people were wanting for an 'acceptable' copy of the complete book.
