Lost

Well there's supposedly the Sayid and Shannon theory. Where they're romantically involved..

Rose is coming back, supposedly to murder Sayid...

We're going to find out what Kate did to get a marshall on her tail...and she and Jack will finally kiss... yeah, we knew that was coming.

No way! How did that theory come about...what did I miss?

Just to murder him? What about everyone else?

Yeah, we knew that was coming.;)

What I want to know is when are they gonna get around to what is making all the noises in the jungle!

Where did you hear all this?

On another board. There's also the site lost-media.com. They have preview pics there. I think most theories come from that.

Hmm, i didn't give the whole Shannon, Sayid much thought, till I thought of the documents Sayid found. Maybe he's only asking to translate...

I'll have to check out that site...thanks.

I must have missed that part where he asked her to translate documents...or else I just didn't see the signifigance. I mean really, what could he possibly see in her?! She is such a spoiled brat idiot...can you tell she's not my favorite character?;)

I haven't seen them either yet. Just saw them.

No i know what you mean. That was exactly my reaction. That would be a very stupid move, unless there's a significant character change in Shannon.

I wonder when we're getting a Boone ep.

They are going to have to show A Boone episode soon. I mean, he's one of the few left who haven't had any flashback scenes yet. The only ones left are Boone, Hurley, Michael and his son.

I am so bad with their names I had to go look them up... :D

Yeah and Jack has had an ep twice, but I guess it's all part of J.J, Abrams master plan! Have you ever watched Alias, Ericka?

I'm too lazy too check the site....

*wanders out*

15 minutes later

*wanders back in*

Okkkay, this is very interesting.

Ep 12 is going to be about Kate I think. Maybe we're finally going to find out what she did

This is the picture which causes so much fuss I think. Sayid does have this dreamy look! Then again, this one may stir some things up too. Hmmm, after looking at all those pictures, I'm beginning to slightly believe those rumours... *puts faith in Abrams master plan*

Now, ep 13 is going to be about Boone. Pretty interesting pictures there too.

And ep 14 is going to be about Michael and his son.

Grrrr, I hate that they're making us wait so long!

I used to watch Alias...the first couple of episodes anyway. Unfortunatley for Alias, The Sopranos used to come on at the same time.;)

Are those pics from future episodes? Cause I don't remember seeing any of those scenes. I like Sayid, but I don't know why he would be interested in her...

Kate has already had one of her own flashback scenes, I would welcome another though. I know it didn't really explain why she was on the run...but it did show that she was.

The next new episode is supposed to be on January 12th, right?

Yeah or Jan. 5 that's also possible. I'm not sure.

Yup, those are from future eps and Kate gets another eps soon.

Grrr, I hate waiting. *wanders of in search of Hephaistion pictures*

Everytime I go to watch this show, someone calls or something drags me away from the TV. In a way, I've missed so much of it I am lost. But for some reason I keep coming back to it. When it first started I thought it would last maybe a month or two, but it has lived up to the hype. I just hope they can keep it going and often wonder how they will do it for more than one season.

Well, you can always be a pirate. And it's a show worth watching. For once there's something original

Ive been waiting for this to be shown on UK tv as ive heard nothing but good reports from everyone I know that has seen it.

And finally E4 wil be showing it sometime this Jan so will be putting my view forward too

Heh they're not showing it here. At least not yet. Frankly they don't show any good things anymore. Blah, so annoying to see reruns of Knight Rider and the A-Team for the 1000nd time

Did no one else watch Lost the other night? I was visiting another board and a lot of them were a bit disappointed with this new episode...I was wondering what everyone here thought about it.

I saw Wednesday night's episode, and I wasn't in the least disappointed. I was a little lost (yeah, I know), as I didn't get to see the most recent previous episode, as I was at rehearsal for the ballet. But I was intrigued by the whole toy plane thing. I know from reading another forum I go on that some people were let down by that, but I think it is perfectly in keeping with the spirit of the show. I also liked the flashbacks that showed Kate at the bank robbery - raises the question of whether she was working with the robbers or if they were working for her. Interesting.

I am also intrigued by the possibility of a relationship between Sayid and Shannon that was hinted at as they tried to decipter the French documents he got from the woman on the distress call. Don't know if it will go anywhere, but there were definite vibes there. Didn't see that coming at all.

And...poor Charlie.

Anyway, I did like the new episode. I wonder if maybe people didn't like it because they were thrown off because it didn't start like all the previous episodes, with a close-up of someone's eye. I wonder what that means, by the way. Because I've come to the conclusion that every choice the writers and directors make on this show means something.

I also finally figured out where I've seen the actor that plays Sayid before - he was on a short-lived series called "The Beast" a couple of years ago. That show was about a 24-hour news channel run by a very eccentric multi-millionaire (played by Frank Langella, who once played Dracula). I thought it was a good show, very quirky, but apparently I was the only one who liked it, because it disappeared after about six weeks on the air.

I liked it. Though I missed several episodes and was wondering the whole time what happened to Claire... I really need to pay attention more. It wasn't disapointing to me in the least that the secret in the case was a plane. Somehow there is a story behind it and that is what seems to keep viewers glued to this series.

I wasn't disappointed by the show either. The people from the other forum I visit were very disappointed that it was "only" a toy plane in the box(besides the guns, of course). I also thought it fit right in with the whole feeling of the show.

From what I understand, most of the people who didn't like the toy plane thought it was anticlimatic. There was also someone who thought Charlie was being overly dramatic about not remembering what happened, and not being his cute, boyish self. I'm thinking that person is just completely ignorant.;) There were other people who for some reason thought Shannon's brother(whose name I forget at the moment) was gay. I must have missed that part...did you see anything that would have indicated that?

Anyway, I thoroughly enjoyed this episode. I think it fit in quite well with all the others.:)

Do you mind if I add...when people have the same avatar it can get a little confusing.;):D

About the avatar...I'm looking for a new one, actually. I've had the same one ever since I started posting here, and it's about time to find something new.:)

And, as far as the possibility of Shannon's brother being gay...maybe I just haven't been paying attention, but I haven't noticed any indications of that. Could make an interesting plot point, though.

Yeah, I don't get the attitude that it was "only" a toy plane, either. I've been seeing a lot of that in other discussions. Why would that be anticlimactic...unless they were hoping for all the answers to who Kate is, and where's the fun in that?

As far as Charlie...I think his reaction to Claire's disappearance and everything surrounding it is completely in character, as his character has been revealed so far. And, they have to remember, he has recently weaned himself off his drug of choice which, as far as I can see, might definitely tend to heighten his emotional responses since he is no longer self-medicating.

Well, I'm off to look for that new avatar again.:)

Edit to add: New avatar in place.

Great new avatar.:D

I am going to have to go back over there and ask where they are getting the idea he is gay...I have no problem with it, I'm just wondering how I could have missed it.

I believe you are exactly right about how some people are disappointed about the toy plane...I think they probably thought the mystery would be solved with the discovery of what was in the case, especially considering the fuss she made over it.

I think Charlie is having a perfectly reasonable response to what happened to him. From what I understand, not being able to remember what happens to you after you have something so traumatic is quite common. Plus the fact that he is depressed because they still haven't found Claire. Poor Charlie indeed.

I'm not so sure about Sayid and Shannon...but that may be because I'm not particularly found of her.;) Hopefully she'll snap out of her self-pitying, spoiled brat stage soon. Maybe then I will like her better.:D

Can't wait til next week!!!:D
