Keirthorn Faery Esq. is also in Cleopatra's class, and he has a part time job at the dragon menagerie in town. He is the campus jock, and Cleopatra is head over heels for him. But he hardly knows she exists. He only knows her by the phrase people call out whenever she walks by "Call the CIA!" Keirthorn plans to graduate and get a job as a dragon tamer in one of the more profesional branches of the career.

Sabrina knows that her financial influence can get her what she wants, when she wants it, but there is one item that's been out of her reach for some years now - the blue star, a rare blue diamond. One of her rival collectors has it, and will not part with it, prompting Sabrina to look to alternative measures.

Terielle Janley, has high hopes of living up to his given name, his grandpa was a legend in the Space Corps, and the Janley Star, the highest award for bravery any serviceman could receive was so called because of his great grandma's solo defence of the Last Colony untill back up arrived, back in the day. However his dreams of heroism are dampened by the outbreak of peace in the Colonies, the fact he is only seven, and his mothers refusal to call him by anything other than TJ. Whats a wannabe Space Ranger supposed to do?

Karten Grace, or, as he is better known, merely Grace, is an assassin of no little skill. He is currently on the books of at least twelve great personages of the Eternal City, including the Tevelin and the High Priest of U'llior. His prefered weapons include a gas-fired crossbow, throwing knives, and the always classic garotte. Though more than adept at his chosen profession, he dislikes killing. As penance he anonamously sends a sizeable portion of each collected fee to his victims next of kin.

Jyotsi Malone, mother of seven, and InterGalactic Sherrif, patrols the deserted strip of space that borders the Black Hole Zone. Struggles to maintain a balance between bringing up her brood, and her duties as IG Sherrif, especially when most of the law enforcing she has to do involves her own unruly bunch most of the time. Despite her kids pleading she refuses to apply for another post however lonely their little outpost is, her heart still hopefull that her lost husband may someday reappear where he was last seen-the Black Hole Zone.

A humanoid creature that vaguely resembles a meerkat, but is completely sentient and actually capable of speaking rather eloquently. Cheerful and curious, Furbsputtle comes from the largely undiscovered continent to the west, but he chooses to live amongst the humans, peddling knick-knacks and such to tourists. Covered from head to toe in tawny fur and with bright black eyes, he hopes to make enough money to go in search of one of his brothers, who disappeared a few years ago.

His family lives on a planet of low-population, adn they don't support his life choice. They think he shoudl have stuck with something smaller. But Celeris is ambitious, and there's nothing stopping him from living his dreams.

Having spent most of her life looking to books for her escapism, now that she has the wherewithal to do as she likes she is able to travel the world in search of anything that vaguely sounds like an adventure. No matter how strong she is, though, it doesn't stop her from overreaching and finding herself in difficult situations. On more than one occasion she has risked life and limb on nothing more than a whim, and some have criticized her for her attitude, but she continues to do as she pleases.

Persephone D'Asphodel lives in a Grand Empire much like that of the Ancient Romans. She is a princess, and also a grand beauty, with golden curls, rare violet eyes and perfectly toned skin. Many a man has attempted to woo her, but she is very choosy, and she will only see men who might have an inkling of greatness in them. She never associates with peasants. Her people believe she is stuck up, but she is really very insecure. She worries a lot, mostly about her safety, and of what her mother and father have in store for her future.

Jerren Tasmel is Ayora Xema's wingmate. Though not as naturally gifted as Ayora, Jerren is a focussed and dedicated pilot, and a valued member of the squadron. The whole squadron - bar Ayora - can see that Jerren feels more than friendship for his wingmate, but just as he'd summoned the nerve to say something, his home planet has suceeded and declared war on the Federation. Now Jerren is torn between his friends - and his love - and his duty to his home and family...

Vorl Windborn

Vorl Windborn is a member of the dominant species from Aerie, Rigel VI. The planet has no mountain ranges to speak of, and the winds sweep uninterrupted around the globe, leading to the evolution of an ecology that spends just about all its time in the air.
The first thing that strikes you about Vorl are his huge, ten metre wide wings, formed from extremely attenuated collar-bones and shoulder-blades. The membrane between the bones is very tough, and as the Aerians almost never land on the surface of their planet, heals from any rip or tear extremely fast. Aerian bones are hollow, to save weight, and their legs have atrophied to mere stubs. Living, sleeping, mating, all are carried out in flight - children are born, and spend their first year, (until their wings are developed enough for flight), in huge balloon creches, endlessly circling the planet.
You'll never see Vorl off-world, except when he goes up to the orbital station - free-fall and his home planet are the only environments that he can really live in.

Callie 'Binary' MacHinery is a final year organotech student at UST - the University of the Sea of Tranquility. She has her life all worked out. After she graduates top of her class, she'll move to Gerehim-IV, where she's been offered a job in the lab of the preeminent cyberneticist, Samuel Ngaya. But that was before something went wrong with her final project, when the cyborg she'd been designing, Calliope-2112, somehow downloaded her 'soul' directly into Callie's brain...

Brother Matthew
 
Brother Matthew is not a priest. He is called that because he always knows the right answer in class. The nickname was first started as a joke by his friends, but soon the whole school was calling Matt "Brother Matthew." It annyoed the heck out of him at first, but now he's warmed up to it. Matt plans to become a Scientist and is well on his way to accomlishing that goal.
