WoT Film - good idea/bad idea?

the books are far too huge for a big screen adaptation to do it justice.

Movies will not work in any way, the only thing you can do is a mini-series ala Game of Thrones style.

I believe that it would be a better show or mini series. There is too much content that would be missed if you chrunch WoT to a couple of hours.

Wheel of Time television show on HBO or Showtime would be amazing. I don't know how they would afford the special effects and makeup though. Well, actually, I think the makeup is doable, but the fx would be ludicrously expensive.

Makeup is generally easy and FX are getting cheaper every day. GoT has shown the idea can work but Seeker has shown it doesn't have to.


I think they'll do the planned movie as a 3 part mini and pick it up for a series if it gets ratings.

Whilst I think a movie would be great etc, there is simply too much content to put in. Plus all the actors will have aged a LOT by the end of the last movie
