Where does everyone go? In other words, being that it's been rather quiet around here lately, which forum do most of you frequent?

Well, I mostly post in the authors/books and literature forums, but from time to time I post in the discussion section. I still visit the workshop quite a bit, though.:)

I have to do that nasty work thing. Its boring and I hate it. But, if Im not in AW, Im divided in all the other forums, but most likely teh lounge or world affairs, trying to bug JD into submission. :D

Keep tryin' Dustie... Everyone should have a goal!;)

Mostly this place... and I jump around a lot; though lately I've not had much time to actually post, being busy with tax-time, writing, research, and job-hunt....

When I'm not here I'm either working (actual work, for which I get paid) or working my own writing projects. For example, the past couple of days I spent quite a few hours reworking something from my blog from a couple of years ago to submit as a guest blogger on another blog I read regularly. I've got a couple of long-term projects going.

Actually there are four or five blogs I follow regularly in addition to my own blog, which I keep up rather irregularly these days. There are also two or three other forums I visit on a regular basis. Also, I try to make time to read actual books. Other than that, I spend time with my mother, who I stay home with on a full-time basis (I work at home so that I can do that).

If you don't mind my asking, what do you do at home littlemiss? (job-wise)

Working hard to actually getting some work done, so been staying away from distractions. I still come on but only to check latest posts.

The other places I visit include a forum completely unrelated to this one, myspace, and sometimes livejournal. Even when I'm here, I wouldn't consider myself to be among the more active members. :(

Lately I've been busy with university shananigans: the year is wrapping up and exams are around the corner. I often read alot of forum posts but don't reply, unless its something where I think what I have to say is helpful. Unfortunately, all the writing I have had time to do lately has been course related.

Very nice. When folks say they work from home I'm always curious what it is they do.

Puttering is definitely a good past time, especially if you bring your towel ( :) ) and if there's a good cake involved. I guess you can say I work from home as well, being a full-time dad, but I'd call this more stressing-from-home and it rarely ever involves a towel or cake of any sort, but rather many, many wash-clothes and a few bottled jars containing odd combinations of fruit and meat; chicken and apples is actually not that bad, though it should be washed down with a good white wine and not Enfamil, as it tends to leave an oddly familiar, but not quite pleasing, milk-like aftertaste.

I wish I worked from home. I guess technically when I write I'm working from home... Now if only someone would pay me for that I could tell my bosses exactly where to shove it, and with what amount of force.

I enjoy working from home. I do miss having the social interactions that come from going out to work, however. Then again, perhaps I suffer from the illusions that come from having worked at a couple of places where the staff became more like family than simply being co-workers, to the point at one place that some of us took road trips together sometimes. I suspect that this isn't true of very many workplaces.

No... and it used to be more general than it is. Nowadays, you'd be hard-pressed to find a handful in a large city, I'm afraid.

Cul: You forgot one condition: and how to fold it so that it has the maximum number of sharp corners.....:p

I love working at home because I'm not being not at home, but then I hate working at home because I am at home. But, it saves on daycare. Plus, I get to hang out with my kids and yell at them to pick stuff up instead of driving for an hour after a 13 hour shift, coming home and then yelling at them to pick up. So it all works out. Of course, I haven't left my house other than for grocery shopping in like, a year. Thats sad, actually.

I'm an under/ghost writer.

LOL. I don't leave my house except to buy groceries and I think it's great :) I hate having to go out and deal with the world and that's one thing I hated about having to work at a workplace too - the politics. I loved having people to interact with and talk to but when they started acting like "people", it drives me nuts :p
