Best Fight in DG's books.

What about Achilies vs Hector in Fall of kings, Didn't expect it to end like that!
 
TC just read my mind, The parts where Decado attacks so fast Padaxes can't read his mind fast enough, and where Rage kills that dude in like half a second.

Yep. I fully agree with you now. Recently read all of DG's books again bar the Rigante series. It's actually quite clear that Tenaka is on a different level to Chareos.
 
Naa to all of this, i reckon the best fight must be from one of the jerusalem books, not sure which though. Hmmmm....
 
For me its Rage vs Volton in Midnight Falcon, the two best gladiators in the world fighting to the death!
When the drum starts beeting to see how fast rage can win, brilliant!
 
i know the fight want really mentioned but i reckon Dark mask v the arena joining at cesks hands and culain fighting gilgamesh in ghost king.

And its great to meet other gemmell fans ive been a massive fan for years and never realised he had such a fan base!
 
Rage vs Voltan. Unbelievable fight it was so intense!! Rage basically walking into the arena to sacrifice himself in order to wear Voltan down so Bane can win. And then the Drums start beating. Wooo such a good fight. The legendary Rage wins again!
 
I read thefirst two Rigante novels about two times, the last time was when Ravenheart came out and for the life of me I can't remember much about them, i've read way too much since then so i desperatley need a re-read to remember what went on. Since DG died (rip) i haven't gone back and read any of his works even tho he's my fav author, starnge tho it seems i just can't seem to pick one up just yet.
Maybe this'll force into a re-read
 
Rage was harcore and that fight was awesome. One of the fights that have stuck in my memory vividly.

You cant pick up a DG ? That must be just an emotional thing. I have no trouble reading or re-reading him. Although reading Troy book because he didnt finish it and it was his last work is scary.
 
Here's 2. Knights of dark renown (read it if you haven't...please). Pateus caibre one of the crimson knights duels manannan. Superb. Manannan...most flawed yet the best of the knights. And the second...Achilles and hector in troy...best fist fight ever. Sorry druss. So glad dg gave hector a draw against Achilles, unlike homer!

Good spot fawn! Forgot that one. Culain turns his back on the sipstrassi and takes on a fight that's completely stacked against him. Lots of emotion in this one. Pity, shame, grief in his heart but culain sees it through.
