Bevier = MarySue

That was a bit annoying and good enough for me. :p Maybe he can have only a short sentence on the Island?

With all that training from both UL and Taiba, I'm sure he'd learn quick. He could probably come back on the next ship!:D

I don't think I can think of any annoying male characters, though. Which is a bit odd.

Yeah, I can't really think of any annoying male characters. Except Ulath, he always annoyed me, JOKE! :p I loved him really.
Nope, pretty much all the guys were cool by me.
Just all/most of the ladies that where whiney.

xXx

Which makes me wonder who was writing those women - Mr or Mrs Eddings?

(careful there, them there is fighting words.... :p )

It was in fact Mrs Eddings who was responsible for all the females :p
Mr stuck to the males, cause he trully believed no man can ever understand a woman!

ahem...

Lelldorin!
Most Arends.
THE TWINS!
Any male bit-part written in bad dialect.
Issa, just for leaving the Nyissans under the control of Eunuch-dominated, sexaholic, drug crazed Salmissras! (Not saying I don't love Sallies, but it's a bit irresponsible, IMNSHO)
Anyone written as 'foppish'
Krager when he's being 'cunning'...always makes me think of Baldrick!
Anyone speaking in the high style.

Not feeling the love, tonight!

I think a rota for Ulath-time would be the fairest way to do it. I get days of the week with a 'y' in them! Hehehehehe.... :p

Oooo.... you broke my heart girl. :( I'll just have to kidnap Ulath then. Hide him under a pink wig.

It's surprising that the women in the series were written by a female and yet they seem to rub other females wrong. Could it be that we just see unfavorable traits and habits in them that we have ourselves? I don't think it's true that men can't write women well.

The mention of Lelldorin does remind me how annoying he can be, and the whole speaking in high style collides with writing accents. Sometimes I felt it was a little overdone in his books.

Agreed, on both high style speaking and Lelldorin, I forgot about him. And Elron or whatever he's called, you know, Sabre from the Tamuli, he was about as foppish and annoying as they come, but I guess he was supposed to be.

HA! That would great....

"Thank you mostly ladies and a few gentleman for joining us as we sail to Island of the Annoying Characters. To prepare you for the misery of your sentence we are proud to introduce Elron, our ships entertainment, who will be reading 'Ode to Blue' during this entire journey."

I'd just throw myself overboard. But then again, I'd be back on shore snuggled with Ulath. :p
