Memorable epic fantasy

The Well at the End of the World by William Morris Written 1896 , The characters speak in archaic dialect that can be off putting but, my advice don't let that keep you from reading It . This is a truly great novel and well worth reading ! This is one novel that Im glad that I found !(y)

Lilith by George MacDonald published in 1895 . This to is another great 19th Century fantasy and it qualifies as epic.(y)

1. The High House by James Stoddard
2. The False House by James Stoddard

Imagine a manner house so vast it spans other dimension . Every hall corridor is a road to another world and behind every door is a world or places of wonder and terror. In order to rule House the lord of the mayor must have in his possession the keys to all the doors in the house.(y)

I'm a big fan of Feist, I find it easier to forgive his mistakes than I do with most. For me the quality dropped around Talon of the Silver Hawk, a number of glaring mistakes crept in, time line, family trees, monarchy, marriages etc, he lost track.
Prince of the Blood and The King's Buccaneer although connected to the others can be read as standalones.

A series that I recommend alot is More in heroic Mold . The Kane the Mystic Swordsman series by Karl Edward Wagner. The main protagonist Kane, is a man cursed to immortality for killing his brother Abel and spurring mankind to rebellion against the good that created them . Of this backstory , we only get only the briefest of glimpses in the from a flashback not directly from Kane. His world to all intents and purposes is an alternate earth, radically different from our own world, with its own history and horrors. Kane has lived for thousands of years and, has seen lovers, friends, enemies and civilizations come and go and, along the way . He's encountered Gods, Demons , Elder Earth Being of immense power and evil and a nasty thing or two from the stars. In one fo the short stories , By his own design, he runs into The Eternal Champion Elric of Menibone , Moonglum and Stormbringer.( A Gothic Touch ) Kane is not a nice man at all, he wants to rule and subjugate the world . He's an antihero /heroic villain and overall, this 5 book series is a fun to. read. :)

1. Bloodstone
2. Darkness Weaves
3. Dark Crusade
4. Death Angels Shadow
5. Nightwinds

In the early 1970's there was a comic book in which Conan Crossed paths with Eliric of Melinibone . Theres also been a comic where Conan met King Kull , Had an adventure with Solomon Kane and. Theres was a What if Conan Walked the World Today? There is also a comic where Conan battle Woverine and one there he meets Thor.
