Eulalia - I imagine there can't be too many copies of Civ 2 available. Your best bet might be to find a trustworthy downloadable version, but only if it's trustworthy. Viruses abound. And hell yes to a civ-based ASOIAF, with major Houses instead of civs. Balance that against an emphasis on the ruling family members and I think you've got my favourite game ever.

And Boaz - just a thought, but how much do you suppose it would cost to invest in one those tiny, fibre-optic-type, cameras? Think of the dramatic and close-up shots you could get...

No one--even if we are the only ones playing it! I don't know how other people would react to a new tile game, when there are games like WoW. I guess there would be a choice of a Westeros worldmap and a computer generated map for exploration?

Boaz--I think the Japanese/Samarai/Elven theme works well.

As for the Dark Sword miniatures... they have a new sculpt of Dany.

And here is a Westeros mod for Medieval Total War 2. And here is my account of one of the two Westeros Total War games that I played... I never played farther with the Stannis faction. But I did play once as the Tyrells... Lord Mace defeated the Lannisters, Greyjoys, Joffrey, and Renly. After being crowned King, Mace's armies got bogged down in Dorne... Damn those Martells!!!
