Does anyone know when this book comes out?

Can't wait for it.

* edit - just looked it up. March, 2008

The cover art looks great.

Amazon is usually wrong with everything except books. Looks like a few months left wondering...

I reckon this may be the book where Pug learns how to transport messages back to himself. Magnus is gonna play a major part as well

You should of seen me when i first read that Arutha was dead in DaS. Then i cried more when he was alive again

U and me both. I think we're a lot alike in that when we find really good writing we don't just read it - we live it. I've stalked the forests with Martin, worked alongside Pug and Laurie when they were slaves on Kelewan, slipped through the sewers with Jimmy and studied the Talnoy with Nakor.

With these books you find yourself totally engrossed, really 'being there' - and when we lose someone we love (as will inevitably happen) it hurts.

I was really getting into the works of George R. R. (what an ego) Martin until he killed off damn near everyone important in the series in the third book. After that I just lost interest in his work.

Full scale invasion by Dasati. Pug raises the dead, brings all the old heroes back and summons the Tsurani. Brilliant book that would make!

Found this on the Crydee site. It says it may be subject to change and is pretty useless but there you go.

A brief synopsis - subject to change The Darkwar has fallen upon the worlds of Kelewan and Midkemia; a time of heroes, trials and destruction. Following their dangerous mission to the realm of the alien Dasati, Magnus and the other members of the Conclave must now find a way to use what they discovered to help save their own people from the wrath of a mad god.

Mmmm, interesting.
I wonder why it says Magnus and the other members of the conclave and not Pug?
Apart from Tal, and maybe Kasper has there been any other possible heroes developed through the other two books? The reason I ask is in the serpent war there was a whole host of 'heroes' who were followed during the build-up and if there is to be war, where are the characters who will defend Midkemia come from, apart from the conclave that is?

OK, I know Eric was made younger by Nakor in Shards of a Broken Crown, but i thought he didn't gain that many years, maybe five? Surely he'd be an old man again by this time?
