Yes, we should keep people alive ust so we can enjoy the benefits of the hard labor. Oh, wait, does that sound twisted?
Anyway, someone had responded to my own impatience with the insight ISOIAF being a "burden." And yes, it must be a great burden. Writing the way GRRM does must be such a tedious process. HE know where he's going, but he's getting us there with grace. If I change my mind about what I want to do a hundred times, no one may care (except my patient husband), but for an artist.... Imagine the pressures! I certanly cannot. If GRRM just decides to "change his mind" and get a new career and a new passion, would he be forgiven? Tough burden.
