The best siege?

All of them I mcguess.
I haven't read RoaDK in a while but I always thought that Krondor fell in a short period - hardly even a siege. It seemed to take very little time even if there was a fair bit of description. I always kind of considered a seige lasting at least a couple of days. The second seige that begins in SoaBC is better in this regard than the first one mentioned - to my way of thinking anyways.
Olasko is in my least favourite Feist series so I'm probably a tad biased on that front.
Sethanon seemed to get very little coverage' in terms of the action of the seige, at least thats what I remember, so.....
Darkmoor was important and more drawn out but seemed to be mainly a side-story whilst I felt the key plot machinations were taking place elsewhere most of the time, with Pug etc.
Crydee gets a fair descript and is important, to me at least, and in the wider picture of Magiacian as well. This is the seige that comes closest to Armengar in my opinion.

My tuppence worth!

I think Armengar was a descriptive work of art....

read DAS at least twice as often as the rest of the Feist novels, and thats at minimum, a LOT! :D

I thought the siege of Krondor was terrible, it had a massive build up, yet you hardly saw the siege! I was very dissapointed:mad:

I've voted for "other" mainly because I like a few that I didn't wanna pick between them.

The Krondor Siege was good and upsetting:D Complete massacre of many characters we loved:(

The Darkmoor Siege was brilliant. Against all odds the guys came out victorious:D Good old Erik.

The Armengar Siege was also brilliant. So many different ideas went into that and as Morgasshk said it definately was a descriptive work of art.
Oh and we got to see the return of Guy Du Bas Tyra. Who totally kicked arse, he would have made a good Prince of Krondor I reckon if anything had happened to Arutha.

Armengar... simply because... the explosions... yeah...

But truly it was an a work of art.

Was the Maharta one in the "honoured enemy"? Can't remember.

Which one am I thinking of then? lol

The SOADQ one at Maharta is where that kid hits him over the head?

I voted for the siege at Krondor. I know it was short and sharp, but it was the most costly in his books for the loss of both characters and history. The dynamics of the Kingdom were forever changed by its fall, i.e spoilt brat Patrick acting like a dick afterward, the damage to the city making it redundant as a trading hub etc.
Armengar was epic and a very close second.

I liked Sethanon for the battle beneath it, I mean come on, two Valheru, a Dread and A dragon is just epic:D.

To be honest, the 'battle above' was a bit shallow to me; I couldn't seem to get a clear picture in my head as to what was going on properly.

Armengar, as soon as I saw the heading I thought of a wooden fort and exploding barrels of Naptha.
