Salvatore Fans/Reader's Of Dark Elf Tales: Come One Come All

Agreed....:)

few if any really write consistently good battle scenes, especially one-on-one combat in fantasy esp. in this case b/w our 2 arch rivals like Salvatore and that along with the rollicking fun adventure and sometimes introspective aspect (w.r.t Drizzt's musings) of the books is what I most like about this series.

Cheers.

I have always loved Drizzt's musings, he's so conflicted, its just...delicious.
Yes, it really lifts it from, dare I say, your more generic Forgotten Realms mass production, that is often trotted out. Certainly more believable too. Drizzt is easily Bob's best developed and enduring character IMO.

Totally. And as for enduring---I read him as a teenager, and my teenagers are reading him as teenagers, without me telling them they should read it, so yeah, pretty enduring!

Whoa you're pretty quick on the draw there! Remind me not to get in a gunfight virtual or otherwise with you....;)

So do you have those collections or to put it another way have you read most if not all of the Drizzt books?

I'm speedy like that!

I pretty much only stick to Icewind, Dark Elf, and Legacy....I just never got around to getting into the expansions. I'm lazy like that.

Well check them out if you can, they're worth the effort. Having said that I still feel that Dark Elf is the best Drizzt set I've read.

I've read The Hunters Blade trilogy and really enjoyed that, though I've later been told that it's one of the later ones, but that didn't ruin it at all for me. I've later bought The Dark Elf Trilogy, but not read it yet. Parts from what I've read do sometimes pop up in my head, though, and I like that.
