Final lines....

Well, I've had a good look, and we've had Backward Stories, and First Lines, but I can't find another thread on these lines....

What would be a final line, or (at the most) the two last lines of a story that would make you think: Wow, I wish someone would write that story!?

Okay, I'll give some serious thought to it.

Sometimes, just sometimes, things work out the way they're supposed to.

As his blood pooled around him he realized he really did love that kid.

On reflection, he realised that getting sidetracked from his important journey had not been a waste of time.

On reflection, he wished he'd saved his personality on mirrored disks.

Freed at last from his obligations, he realised his journey was just beginning.

Everybody had lied to her. Now she knew the truth, she wished that was a lie too. But there was nobody left who could tell her that.
Somewhere far to the north, a storm was gathering.

He grinned at his friend. 'Me?' he asked. 'I'm not sure. But there's a girl in Queensport I promised to call on again. I think I shall start there.'

'The stuff of legends,' Stohnz said, resting his head on Paige's shoulder. 'Yeah. I think I could settle for that.'

'At last' he said,cleaning the bloody blade 'maybe now i can put this thing away'.

then, with a casual glance over her shoulder, she faded into the mist.

Finally, he thought, closing his eyes. I can rest.

The rain fell around her washing the past away, reborn into a new life.
