Final lines....

He didn't hear them leaving. No one ever heard them. But he knew they were going - and he was going to miss them.
 
It was just as well things had turned out okay, because when a Space Cow is not in the mood, there's no point in even looking for an udder solution.
 
Worse than that, it was a bull, not a cow!

According to TEIN, we're all dead anyway, so I don't see what all the fuss is about. Anyone seen the movie "Knowing" yet? (Don't spoil it!)

Eventhough they had lost many friends along the way, they knew that if required they could always rely on each other, as long as the price wasn't too high that is.
 
As they celebrated a hard won victory, a sudden shout of despair alerted them to the fact that the body was missing. Following the trail of fetid smoking blood that had flowed from the numerous wounds they had inflicted, they reach an outcrop of rocks and as the trail reached a long deep shadow, it ended and they realised that all they had fought for, all they had lost was for nothing.
 
'Well,' he said, helping Morwenna off the floor, 'Wherever he is, I'm pretty certain there won't be any more Titans, sky pirates or angry eight hundred year old witches, that's for sure. We'll find him, don't worry.' Anath tried to smile, but he knew she'd see the pain in his eyes. The two worlds were safe now at least, but his son was gone. He hoped oblivion was ready for him, and come to think of it, Morwenna too when she found out that's where he was; just the other side of that wall...
