I too am in the Ar-ee-ya styled camp. The idea of pronouncing a name like are - ya makes it seem funny to me. As if her name is constantly asking a question... are ya well well are ya ?
As an aside I love how people have come up with such a diverse pronunciation of names I think however sounds best to you is part of taking the story and making it your own for a little while
The three-syllable pronunciation makes more sense of her pseudonym, Arry (which would be her own name minus the final syllable**); unless, that is, you think that having a pseudonym that's almost the same as your own name is rather foolish and - in the circumstances - dangerous.
** - With or without the second vowel slightly lengthened. (How do you pronounce Arry? )
