Ghost, your subtlety escaped me too. I found myself recalling Cersei and Jaime, Right and Left, and maybe the Karstark boys, but female twins were not coming up in my memory.

I also need to say that I really like the way that Martin writes his characters. So many of you find Ygritte sexy, attractive, fascinating, and interesting, yet I find her highly annoying. She's so annoying that I actually felt sorry for Jon for being stuck with her... and you know I don't like Jon! YADL must stand for Yet Another Dumb Loser. One other thing that I don't understand is how Asha is leading this poll. She is soooo... Um, sorry I lost focus for a second. Anyway, the point is that few (if any) of us feel apathy for Ygritte, Asha, Catelyn, and Cersei. Martin has described these characters so well, that we are forced to take sides... or we feel free to strongly care for his characters.

Furthermore, why are Sansa and Margaery not getting any love? (That is not a literal question.) I'm not seeing any write in campaigns for Pia nor Gatehouse Ami either.

And... Tysha, a poster here, has made some art of Asha, Dany, and Arya. You can find the links to all of them in the first post of the thread The Hound and the Wolf Pup.

In conclusion, how did I get so emotionally involved in this poll? What am I, twelve?

Do you seriously not like Jon?

If you don't, then I can understand a hatred for Ygritte.

Even if not liking Jon is a heresy on an international level.
 
Arianne Martell every time. I'd hit it until they passed a law making it illegal to hit it, then I'd break the law and hit it some more.

Haven't voted yet but I too am suprized about no Sansa or Margaery.

So on this list I am down to Asha, Meera or Ygritte. I am a quiet member of YADL too, Asha is a bit scary, and Meera is fascinating to me, but then again I am a Reed obsessive.

so hmm, talked myself out of Asha it seems, so hmm Meera or Ygritte. I guess im sitting on the wall on this one.

And thank you for not putting Arya on the list that would be too creepy. I would have had to wash my hands after reading it.
 
Yeah well I guess they left the young ones out.:p (although I must say that being maybe 16 when I read the books and with children being earlier mature in Martin's setting, I initially could see Sansa as an option)

Melisandre? I guess the femme fatale still works, frankly I'd not be interested in a woman who "gives birth" to a shadow that will kill me. And she is just not a good person.....ahem.

That sounds painfully dangerous or dangerously painful.

PS: Lets add the rule that we add the number of posts from each voter together. For example if Catelyn Stark got 3 votes, we add up the number of posts from those 3 voters. That number will be her final score. (This way she might stands a chance against melisandre 6 votes ^^)

As you can see Catelyn is the clear winner by far at the moment.

The way Shae is described just made me envsion her as extremely hot and yet very easy to relate to. I know this is probably because she is written from Tyrion's POV but no other female character did it for me like she did.

Melisandre seem very beautiful but after she gave birth to that shadow, I wouldnt poke my wand in there if you catch my drift. Don't know what would happen to it.
