Well if you are cheekily referring to Sigizmund Krzhizhanvsky then I can happily report that the stories so far are proving to be very good. Well written and entertaining satires on Communist Russia with more than a hint of the fantastic in them.

These NYRB (New York Review Classics series) are proving a worthwhile addition to those interested in expanding upon their knowledge of World Liiterature esp. those novels/stories that deal with the fantastic.

Now why didn't I think of that? Wasn't it Guy de Maupassant who ran away from the Eiffel Tower because he found it so vulgar?
