Spoiler for the season end, sort of.

Presumably old pickled-face will only appear at the very end of ep 12, inducing the cliff-hanger. By then half the crew will be trapped or captured etc., leaving the remainder to save the day in ep 13. And in my summation on another thread it looks like I was wrong about Mickey (not least because he wasn't in the trailer). Though Davros metal armoured hand / panel switches was/were...

PS. For Davros they've got the same guy who played the Ghost Maker from Torchwood's "From Out of the Rain" (2.10) [the one with the movie of the circus people]... he's a classical Shakespearean actor... just right for a thick layer of latex!

This is a two-parter season finale right?

Strikes me that it's going to be really crowded story. Old villains and old allies, and if they do them justice, will there be enough time for a story?

Fear not, the final episode is, according to the new DWM, 65 minutes long! It also warns that at least one companion will die in the finale.... though there are so many, it could be anyone.

Wiki is indeed correct, the red Dalek is the new Dalek Supreme.

Penelope Wilton is listed in the cast for the end two-parter, last seen as Harriet Jones MP, do you think she's been 'converted'?

I don't suppose they mean Captain Jack, who dies all the time.
that would be hillarious!!! but i hope he and someone else dies who cant come back. maybe thats the reason the doctor from whats her name from tonights episode is so much more "the doctor" than he is now

I think I posted this elsewhere, but is it wrong of me to hope that it's Martha? :D

And it had better not be along the lines of the thing from the series with Rose, who kept going on at the start of the programme about how she dies, but it just turns out that she gets stuck in another universe (legally dying on normal earth). Cheating! :p

It kind of implied in "Turn Left" that Donna was going to die, having kick-started our universe back on the correct track with the Doctor in it...

Wouldn't mind it being either Donna or Martha, but I have a sneaking suspicion that Rose might die properly this time.

Yes, I was thinking that. And if it's Donna who's supposed to die, maybe Rose will heroically sacrifice herself or something in her place...*Shrugs*

Especially as I thought I heard that Donna would be staying for another season (hopefully...)

I just thought it would be the reason they brought Rose back. And it would nicely close the circle - Rose becomes the Bad Wolf and defeats the Daleks in series 1 (the effects of which are clearly still about with all those Bad Wolf signs in Turn Left); she then ends up in a different universe at the end of series 2; and now she returns to face the Daleks again and makes the ultimate sacrifice to save the universe(s), and perhaps to close up whatever rift she might have opened as the Bad Wolf...:)

Although they've been building up Donna as something special "the most important person in creation" (or similar), and has been "her whole life", it doesn't mean she'll actually die...
