I love that book too.Sadly,I didn't enjoy the rest of the series as much as the first book.
I did enjoy some of his other series though. It is so long ago that I read any Feist,I have forgotten most of the stories, but I do remember Magician.

I prefer books as books, and I like good films that start as screenplays or theatre works.

It's a very different medium.

I like the authors about evenly and will re-read their books.

Perhaps films from books are OK for people that are primarily TV watchers rather than novel readers.

After many disappointments and even rages,I have made it a rule to never watch a film or play of a book I've read.
I don't watch much TV as I prefer reading or dabbling on my computer.

Feist here. Haven't read Pawn of Prophesy, but have (and more importantly, have READ, of course) Eddings' Elenium series; in my opinion, Feist has the grander imagination of the two. I also wouldn't want to see it butchered, though, so I hope my vote never bears fruit beyond this survey!

I liked the Belgariad books, but I've never really liked anything else I've read by him.:)

I've read Eddings up to and including the Elder Gods, there I've admitted it, he really should have stopped after the Elenium series. Talk about repetitive

I really don't want Magician turned into a film. The only books I enjoy in film format are Stephen Kings.

it was like he was writing the same book over and over again.

I did read The Belgariad, but have to admit that I thought they were written for young adults.
I did find them a little juvenile.I enjoyed them though.

If it's the Belgariad then Feist all the way. If it's the Elenium then I'm conflicted as Sir Sparhawk and crew are some of my favourite characters
