What "scene"? (Again spoilers through AFFC)

What about some happy moments?

*tumbleweed rolls past*

Danys' and Drogo's wedding night?

Most would argue that was rape and nasty blah blah etc. But yes I suppose it was a somewhat happy night, was Danny's first steps into becoming the uber pewpew Queen of the world she'll nodoubt become :p

Nah, not most. Only a few I think; those that only see Dany as underage despite the fact that in GRRM's world she's not really underage. They ignore the fact that many if not most of the major players in this book are teenagers (or younger!) which means that people mature much quicker in this world. Also, killing is cool but sex is definitely not . Anyone who was really looking past the surface of that scene probably realizes that Dany took control of her life and her relationship with Drogo that night. In the end it was she who initiated the act of sex. But maybe we shouldn't have that argument again...or maybe it's already too late to stop it ;).

Happy moments?

1) Jon being voted Lord Commander.

2) Sam gettin' it on.

3) That little ******* Joff choking.

4) Robb's intial victories

Oi, earthquake here, you?

Jon giving Arya needle was happy. Umm, Bran climbing. Guess all that turned out!

Dark happy--Littlefinger making Lysa fly.

*grin* Yea might just trigger -those- kind of people off again.

And Boaz I completly agree witcha about the Scheming bit.

3 of my top 5 were happy moments. Then there was one scene with Dani and Irri that made at least part of me happy.

Happy stuff? My favourite is the rescue of Davos:

Gods be good, I serve King Stannis.

The theory is that Rahegar was there with Lyanna and their love child and that when he went off to fight Robert he left those Kingsguard to watch over Lyanna and her baby.

Hello, first post on probably an old thread, but I'm making sure I don't forget everything about these books before the next one comes out (whenever that will be.)

Anyway, on to the topic. I'm not sure it counts because it's kind of related to the Red Wedding, but it definitely elicited the most emotional response from me, and that was when Sandor hit Arya with his axe. I was pretty belligerent at that point because I thought GRRM had killed off my favorite character. I made a friend of mine flip through the chapter headings and see if he saw any others titled 'Arya'.

My favourite scene is probably the few scenes where Davos' loyalty to Stannis is rewarded. Such as when Davos is pulled out of the dungeons and told of the plan to attack that random lord's island and he says it's a stupid plan. The Florent guy calls him a traitor and goes to have him hauled back into the dungeons and Stannis makes him his hand. Or when Stannis puts his sword at Davos' neck and says he will be executed for saving the boy, then Davos reads the letter from the Wall.

My favourite scene is actually Arya's last lesson with Syrio. He tells her that when they return to Winterfell then she can finally begin practising with Needle, and just moments later Syrio takes down four or five Lannister guardsmen and fends off a kingsguard knight with nothing but a wooden pole.

Jon having to say goodbye to Ghost
Ghost's return
The events leading up to Jon becoming LC
Ser Jorah being told told leave (bittersweet)
Dany selling one of her "children' for the army of Unsullied, and the subsequent reclaimation
The entire Sansa/Lysa struggle, Lysa flying

all these come to mind in addtion to the others mentioned.

The Tower of Joy flashes.
Jaime's retelling of his killing of Aerys.
The Hound and Arya bitching at each other was hilarious.
Anything with Oberyn, but his fight with Gregor.
