The Legends of Dune Trilogy by Kevin J. Anderson and Brian Herbert

Sadly, no. It's the book club edition. A true first edition goes for about $2500 now, which is a bit more than I'm willing to pay for a book...

I know what you mean. But, still, I'm always on the lookout myself. I DO have all the original Analog serialized printings, which have the great Schoenherr illistrations.

Those illustrations are also in the Iluustrated edition - of which there were two: a Berkley Windohver trade paperback, and a Gollancz hardback. The colour illos are also used on the 1978 Dune Calendar, which I,er, have.

Those same illustrations are in both of the Easton Press editions, too.

Only when I got it home and took a proper look did I realise it was signed.

I love it when that happens. I bought a hardback of Macrolife by Zebrowski and a hardback of Pohl's autobiography, both for pennies, and they turned out to be signed too. Its a nifty little bonus.

I saw a signed one on abebooks once. It was a presentation edition signed by Herbert as a gift to Vincent Price. The seller was asking $5K for it. I wonder what he wound up taking?
