Question about Dark Tower series

Wizard And Glass was my favourite, hands-down, of the Dark Tower books; so the prequel comics have a lot of appeal. I can't believe I haven't read these yet.

I actually did like Wizard and Glass, also Wolves of Calla, they were really important steps in the story, not just done to drag it out.

Seeing Roland's early life at that point helped enrich the rest of the story.

I watched Book Of Eli recently and kept thinking of The Gunslinger crossing the desert.
