I've been working for a while on an article about some of the most important things I've learned about writing and publishing since I first became really serious about my own writing (twenty-five years and eleven books ago). I'd like to post it here in my forum, but it's a lengthy screed, and while it would save me the trouble of continuing to repeat some of the things I've been moved to say over and over (and over and over) in the Aspiring Writers section, it does go against a certain amount of the advice I've seen handed around here and is otherwise likely to ruffle a few feathers. I do, however, think it contains a great deal of useful advice for those who are open to hearing it; otherwise, of course, I wouldn't be writing it.
So what I am asking now is whether many people would like to read it. If there is sufficient interest, I'll post it and prepare to weather the storm. If not, then I won't.
