Talon of the Silver Hawk

You, a cabin-boy??? Dude, you can't pull that off anymore... Age is against you!! ;)

So, since the next book, due very shortly, is called Flight of the Nighthawks, reckon it is about the Nighthawks??? hehehe

Think Talon is involved???

Finally got Exile's Return and am about two thirds in. I'm anxiously awaiting that big twist I've been promised :D

BTW for those that have read this, I really loved his little tongue in cheek bit with the Keepers of the Gods. It was subtle but very amusing.

Just got all three books out of the library yesterday and over half way through silver hawk and enjoying it immensly. I will have all three finished by the end of the weekend:D

I've finished the first book and now onto the second and I'm really enjoying them only problem I'll have them finished before the weekends out and then I'll have to hunt out more of feists books. the only problems Ihave with this series is that I've missed a lot inbetween and don't know all of the story but hopefully I can remedy that before too long:D

These were my first brush with Feist, read them last month. I loved Tal, the first two books I thought were great, but the third one I just couldn't get into at all.

I was suprised that book three went off on such a tangent I thought that was a bit weird for a trilogy (although judging by this thread it's actually a series not trilogy). I liked Kasper, I thought he was an interesting antagonist in the first books and thought the theme of his redemption at the start of book three had potential but as soon as the mysterious armour turned up I lost interest. I thought it started drifting in the direction of the type of obvious fantasy plotting that had turned me off Eddings. So I never finised book three.

Any recomendations for other Feist books?

Flight of the Nighthawks?

G'day, I'm smurf aka Simon, or the other way I do not know

I read the wrong book, I started FotNH before TotSH which was very stupid of me, now I have spoiled the plot
But I have read all riftwar and serpentwar, but I never got around to reading the empire trilogy, I thought it was a bit of a waste of time as it didn't gel with the main plot that exists throughout the books thus far. Other than that I think that Feist is an awesome writer, and is very underrated in a lot of book circles.
anyway I have talked too much I think,

I found this book to be very plodding myself. Some chapters read more like a chapter guide than a fully fledged novel.

This is a poor shadow of his earlier works.

I agree I'm not a big fan of TOTSH and think it compares very badly to the rift and serpent-war saga's. As a result I haven't started in on the darkwar series either so....

Didn't like it the first time, but having read most of the books and now reading this again, i applaud Fiest again. Its totally different to the other books, which i feel is good; variety is always good

This book was awesome, and as for Exile's Return going off on a tangent I don't think it did....it was the logical thing to do in my opinion.

Tal had settled down with Teal and Varen was nowhere to be found things were quiet, there was nothing to write about, Kaspar on the other hand was in the thick of it...

At first I didn't like Exile's Return but after re-reading the series I'd have to say its one of the best...

The Empire Trilogy does kind of gel with the story in the first books, it does help to explain why the Tsnunari did what they did during the war (played games, constantly exchanging armies etc.)

I have just finished reading Talon Of The Silver Hawk, and found it enthralling. I just couldn't put it down. I have the next book King of Foxes and can't wait to start it.
