Preferred version of Bladerunner?

This might sound a bit weird, i've only ever seen the original cinema cut of Blade Runner. I love this cut and it's always in my top 5 films.

I have yet to see the Directors and Final cuts. (Even though i have several copies of them). I'm a bit worried that they might ruin the love of a classic genre film for me. One that i grew up with.

One day i shall build up the courage to watch them both.

I was in the same position Rod and was in two Minds about watching it but you know I wasn't at all disappointed!

I agree with Interference, the original version was what I saw way back when and it blew me away. The voiceover gave it that film noir, Marlowesque feel.

However, when I saw the director's cut I was blown away all over again. It made so much sense for it to be like that.

I haven't seen the final cut. Will I be blown away again?

I bought the five cut Bluray set and even the work print is interesting. (different music and other changes). I did also like the book. The ideas from the book made a wonderful script even though they were very different. On the other hand, I learn many years ago that the concept of "best" is very limited when it restricts you from having many "good"s.

Yea thats something I noticed when I watched the Director's cut. I'm sure there was more of Vangelis's music in there
