Supernatural Horror in Literature: Discussion

J. D. bringing up the Wandrei quotation about having to write a paper on Radcliffe struck a note, so I excavated my copy of A Donald Wandrei Miscellany and there it is in all its glory: "The Lilies, Perfume-bottles, and Some Will-o'-the-Wisps: A not-so-serious essay on the so-called characters of Mrs. Ann Radcliffe".
 
Ah, thank you for that, Martin. I wasn't aware it had seen print, and I've not got (nor ever come across, for the matter of that) the Miscellany -- so now another something I'm going to have to look up....:rolleyes:

It's a very obscure publication from the Sidecar Preservation Society, and there were only 100 copies of the first edition (but it has been reprinted since), so it can be tricky to find.
