3.03: Children of Earth - Day Three

I've watched it again (no screencaps this time), and these are my thoughts:

- I'd forgotten that Jack dislikes Rhys.
- Quite a clever bit of enterprise on Ianto's Brother-in-Law's part. :p A tenner a kid!
- I wonder where the Torchwood server is? Good bit of planning ahead, keeping the server completely separate to the Hub.
- If she does join Torchwood, I can't see Lois fitting in too fantastically -- she seems the sort who might fiddle a bit, but not something outright illegal, at least, not without a lot of worrying.
- Bloody beans.
- We can safely say that the third body in Ashton Down was not one of the three others on the blank page list. So who was he?
- What's got up Bridget's nose, hey? Surely she'd be used to these girls by now, if Lois is supposedly the next in a long line?
- Surprisingly easy to spring someone from jail, ain't it? I still don't see how Cardiff Police could get someone released in Camden, though.
- Apart from the obvious idiotic moments she has, Jack's daughter is quite clever.
- I still agree with Ursa that they should have shot her in the leg...
- Terrible negotiations! "If we wanted you dead we'd have opened fire by now". So if she had shot Johnson, nothing would have happened?
- Quite an entrance, that. I wonder if the instructions told them to build the room in Thames House?
- Numbers on the glass, by the way - 456 950G, 456 951G, 456 952G and so on.
- More than just two long curved things in the room -- I can see at least three.
- The long curved things resemble the heads of flamingoes somewhat.
- "You have an alien ambassador on British soil." The Americans are furious!
- And since when have UNIT been in cahoots with the Americans?
- If Clem can smell "the man", then why can't he smell Jack around Gwen?
- Lois has a pad of paper... why raise suspicion by moving aroud the room, when she could just write what he's saying on the pad? Pretend she's taking the minutes?
- Ah! She's realised.
- They might well be claws, actually. Strange, flamingo claws.
- Ha -- it has a sense of humour. That, or one of the other 456 things does.
- Definitely at least three of the flamingo things in there.
- They've put that document together incredibly quickly! A day? Maybe two at most?
- You'd have thought that Clem would run, or fight or something, but he's just stood there, staring.

So, with no "OR ELSE" from the 456, it sounds as if they know they'll get what they want. What does it say about a species if they have no need to threaten?

I'm still waiting to see what UNIT are doing in terms of being "onto" Torchwood - so far there's been nothing from them.

Xenarium?

Documents: presumably they have draft ones available for alien arrivals?
