Chopper, fingers crossed for you. I must admit I normally only go for the Saturday.
 
I was thinking about coming down for the Saturday. Never been to a con before, but I thought it might be a good idea to get out of the house for one weekend of the year, at least.

That said, I don't have any work to pimp, and I'm not sure random Scotsman banter would be enough of a personal hook to get networking...
 
Anyone who does come is welcome to a free glass of bucks fizz on the Saturday (probably 11.00 am), when I'm launching the latest NewCon Press title -- a novella from Andrew Hook entitled "And God Created Zombies". :)

I'll be putting up more details in 'Press Release' soon.

Looking forward to seeing you, Sue -- can't wait to hear how the writing's going.

Bucks fizz for elevenses? I'm sold!
As I recall, you were the very first bod to talk to me (bar door staff) at my first con. Newcon 4, as it happens. You had this incredible, enthusiastic sales patter that convinced me to buy a copy of Myth-understandings in under a minute. Lucky for me it was a very fine anthology.

Wow. That was a question I wondered about but never dared ask. Will it still be in that Fishmonger-pla(i)ce? Great setting, plenty of light.

i do have that weekend off! now to check behind the sofa for shekels....

I shall be there - I know a few other folks who are going, but do say hi if you see me!

A small Bucks Fizz for elevenses sounds like an excellent plan - but I will be avoiding the underdone-BBQ-sausages-and-red-wine combo that was the low point of NewCon 4 for me :eek:

I hope to make it to NewCon 5 next year, but I've already said I'd go to World Fantasy 2010, so I'll have to see how the budget goes...
 
I'll be there on saturday flogging mags & books and catching up with friends. I'm also on the panel of eBooks and Other Forms of Wizardry: the Changing Face of Publishing. Hope questions to that will be yelled with at least 90 decibels cos I'm hard of hearing. Not that it matters - I'll just respond with what I think they should be asking ;)
