FantasyCon Nottingham 18th 20th September 2009

I've just had a squint at the schedule. Looks good. But what do those who aren't joining the banquet do while that's going down? (Bar? Home? Loiter?)

Bar, with others , or shuffle back to their room and watch the lottery:eek: or go out for a meal...

First time I have gone to the banquet, as I usually only go for the day, and duck off home about 7.30pm due to transport.

Heh - you're in for a treat, Sue - the banquet was the gastronomic highlight of the weekend for me...;)

Oh lovely! My new meds are playing havoc with my stomach as it is. ROFL. I am hobbling so bad( the legs at present playing up big time) I am thinking of taking my stick, so maybe I can beat the meal to death :D

Had a wonderful time.

Caught up with old friends and made new (Just hope I didn't bore any silly with my chatter)

I feel very relaxed and confident about my writing and where I am going after this weekend.

I am also so pleased for Ian with regards to his forth coming books from the Angry Robot imprint. He is such a wonderful man and talented writer. A number of other folk I know are also at last being recognised for their talent, their years of hard work finally paying off. All in all a super weekend.

but for a slight collision and a busted washing machine (grand total, £310. eek), i'd have been there too. glad it was good. got my eye on next year....

Met lots of lovely, kind people. Acquired a collection of mind-pummeling books. Ate like a King. Drank like an Abbot. Burnt such a hole in my wallet I thought a xenomorph had crawled in there and bled to death.

Needless to say; a fantastic time.
