You know its coming. who gets the Axe? [SPOILERS]

Catelyn's POV has bit the dust as GRRM has said he would not have a POV from an "undead" character like Stoneheart.

We know Asha's POV is in ADWD.

There is not confirmation that Victarion's POV is in ADWD and while there is one surprise POV yet to be revealed, I don't think the timelines would allow him to get to Dany or anywhere near her by the end of ADWD even is the timeline is advanced.

Theon and Asha's POV may collide in ADWD but something tells me they will not.

As for our favourite dwarf, I would need a serious dose of ritalin if he got axed. I am tryin to prepare myself for that possibility but it's like the song goes: "The hardest part of love, is letting go..."

Another song says... "Hold on loosely, but don't let go. If you cling too tightly, you're gonna lose control."

Boaz, from one romantic to another, I feel REO Speedwagon coming on:

I can't fight this feeling any longer
And yet I'm still afraid to let it flow
What started out as friendship
Has grown stronger
I only wish I had the strength to let it show

I tell myself that I can't hold out forever
I said there is no reason for my fear
'Cause I feel so secure when we're together
You give my life direction
You make everything so clear

And even as I wander
I'm keeping you in sight
You're a candle in the window
On a cold, dark winter's night
And I'm getting closer than I ever thought I might

And I can't fight this feeling anymore
I've forgotten what I started fighting for
It's time to bring this ship into the shore
And throw away the oars, forever

'Cause I can't fight this feeling anymore
I've forgotten what I started fighting for
And if I have to crawl upon the floor
Come crashing through your door
Baby, I can't fight this feeling anymore...

Are there any threads on the sandsnakes yet?

There was an excellent thread on Sarella/Alleras but it seems to have disappeared in the Great Chronicles Crash where many threads were lost.

I found this one:

quaithe a sand snake?

But feel free to start one if you wish.

ADwD spoilers:

I'd be shocked if Asha and Theon don't cross paths in ADwD, as I recall from the spoiler chapters (and, admittedly, it's been a while since I looked) Theon's her main hope of displacing the crow's eye on the sea stone chair... By iron law, or whatever, because he was unable to attend the king's moot Theon has the right to try to claim the throne. It looked to me like a great deal of Asha's energy in ADwD will be expended trying to rescue Theon...

Spoilers (when can we stop using the spoiler tag thinggy??? Mods?)

Mind you, it's been a while since I read the symopsis of that preview chapter of Asha's but I recall that she was having problems running from Northeners who had took up arms in revolt against the Ironborn invasion. I seem the recall that she was however running in the opposite direction of Theon.

Re: You know its coming. who gets the Axe? [No Spoilers in this post]

You can change the title of your own posts (within the usual time limits) if you want.

Yeah about those spoiler chapters?
Where did they all go? a few years ago I swear I read 3 dany chps, 2 tyrions, and a few jons. Aside from what's on the main sites does anyone have any links for them? I never saw any of ashas.
Please hook me up

At least one of the main existing POV's is getting the Axe Areo Hotah style. I believe GRRM has even mentioned something to the effect that he has to kill some POV's.

Which prominent character will receive the red smile next?

Not Tyrion, 'nuff said.

Cersei? We have plenty of reason to trust whole-heartedly in Maggie the Frog, which means all three of her children must be crowned, ALL she holds dear must be taken from her, and then Jaime or Tyrion must choke her out... hmmm. Does Myrcella's brief ride through the desert with Arianne equate to a crowning? I suppose they refered to her as queen, which means she was crowned by their little rebel band... Furthermore, I think for "operation: take all she holds dear" to be in effect she must needs survive all three of her children. Lastly, as long as she is in the custody of the sparrows, I can't see Jaime riding in to choke her out with one real hand and one golden one.

Jaime? That would suck too much, he's damaged and bad ass and just plain 100% likeable especially ever since the last time we saw him giving Cersei the golden finger. If GRRM takes Jaime out I will be absolutely speechless. Just like when Robb was killed by Roose Bolton...

***Speaking of Roose Bolton, can somebody (ANYBODY) please give him the savage and grizzly death he so dearly deserves???***

Bran? No way in hell, even in a GRRM book.

Arya? Little lady Stark is becoming death in the flesh, which I believe precludes her from becoming crow feed.

Theon returned to us as Reek? Bring him back just to kill him? Me thinks not, due to the Bolton's penchant for preffering to keep people alive once they are undergoing a life-changing prolonged torture experiment.

Dany? I am getting uncomfortable just considering this possibility, it would probably unravel the series. It won't happen though, and I believe the strongest evidence for this is GRRM's obvious love for the character and the fact that SHE IS THE STORY.

Jon? Wouldn't all the R+L=J believers (myself included) just hate to have Jon outed by Mellisandre's flames or by Howland Reed as Jon Targaryen, and then become immediately sacrificed to raise the stone dragon from the Nightfort?... Excuse me, I am noxious from the load of BS I just wrote... realistically, I think Jon is Dany's blue flower in a wall of ice, and one of the heads of the dragon. GRRM+Word Proccessor+Jon=CharacterstaysALIVE.

Brienne? Hmmmm... I think we may have a winner here. Caught between two vows, hanging from a noose (though I dont believe this to be the way she ultimately dies). She may have yelled "sword" to get herself cut down, and end up commiting suicide rather than slay her beloved Jaime??? How possibly romantic??

Davos? Since this *appears* to be a foregone conclusion I am going to have to say that Davos Seaworth does NOT get beheaded in ADWD.

Stannis. This one appears to be a lock. He's aging like he's got an overactive gland somewhere in his brainstem, and is clearly not long for this world. Mellisandre is milking his life force dry and basking in its glow.

I don't expect Tyrion to survive until the end, after all I don't think anyone will look kindly on kin slaying no matter how well deserved, but I think he's too much fun to get rid of much before the end.

Likewise, while Jon and Dany may not survive the last page of the final book, I have a very hard time imagining them them gone too far before that.

I'll be shocked if Stannis makes it to the end of ADwD, and the more I think of it, I doubt Mel will make it very much longer.

Me too, it would be a total shocker if Jon or Dany were to die. This of course makes it more likely that they will! However despite this I think that Jon, Dany, Bran, Arya, Tyrion and probably Sansa were originally (when GRRM started the tale) intended to have a major effect in the end game.
