Finished PLAGUE (yes that's how it was spelt).
You got off lightly.

For instance, the title may have been a misspelling of PLAQUE, in which case you might have found yourself reading about dentists - and dental hygienists - in a race against time, to stop it all being turned into an even worse film.:eek::)

Not something to get your teeth into, methinks.

I feel that I should have waited until October but, what the hell..."Something wicked this way comes" by Ray Bradbury.

I am reading Ender's Game by Orson Scott Card. Another departure from fantasy for me (I read Robert Sawyer's Hominids last week ). I am enjoying it as well.

Am now reading Land At The End of the Working Day by Peter Crowther. It's about a bar in Manhattan named as the title and is made up of four stories.

And yes the book is dedicated to Spider Robinson, Arthur C. Clarke, Fletcher Pratt & L. Sprague de Camp - fine bartenders and tale spinners all. :)

Finished The Tradge of Queens by Charles Stross

Started The Cold Spot by Tom Piccirilli - a choice based on some discussion here between Con and Gollum.

You should like it Richard Stark's Parker series, that type of noir is a big influence on Tom Piccirilli. Which i learned after i already enjoyed The Cold Spot.

That does sound good! i like to find books dedicated to Clarke.

I think I'm going to move on to another author when I get to the end of Feist's Serpentwar series. Next up is Rise of a Merchant Prince.

Slowly getting through Herbert Franke's 'Mind net' book. I thought for a while it was a collection of one shot stories, but it's now tying up pretty nicely into an overarching story.

Hehe... That actually sounds relatively interesting. In a Batman kind of way :)

Finished Yellow Blue Tibia. Confusing working out what was going on. In fact still somewhat confused now I have finished reading it. But it was good fun, well written and nicely mixed in real world events.

How would you describe it as to what kind of SF it is ?

Interesting book since it seems to be getting nominated for all the British SF awards.
