Help me make up my mind! My story is stuck!

So many opportunities this story can go. Personally I'd opt for a voluntary banishment from the city, perhaps to stumble upon some small village, or have her found by a passing ranger type, or something. Blah blah blah.



Apologies. Personally I find that it seems semi-cliche, but it does have a good appeal to it, and I do find that the best avenue for stories like these is to introduce the world as soon as possible, so keeping her in the city, either by way of refugee freedom or locked in the dungeon, really doesn't do a story like this justice....
 
Mayla needs a goal to accomplish and friends/allies to help her complete that goal. Hiding and running away is a good beginning, but eventually she has to fight back.
