The First Men came over the Narrow Sea over Broken Arm of Dorne before the Arm of Dorne was broken. How we know this, legends I suppose if you mean in universe. For readers, Bran finds it out from Maester Luwin and other information is included in the AWOIAF.

Had to look it up. It's Marya. I pass to Needle since she was so close and I wouldn't have gotten it without a hint or looking it up. I really really need to reread the books. I forgotten so much since my last review which I think was about 4 years ago

Guess we need a hint: The answers can be found in one of Old Nan`s stories.
 
Anybody? Another hint: We hear of Old Nan`s stories mostly from Bran.
