The Ten Thousand is not very well rated on goodreads. There's gotta be something to that.

Twilight has more,better rating than the best classic books in the world that must mean something too in Goodreads....

It means popularity contest has nothing to do with quality. Look at what the reviews are saying.

In amazon too usually the fans who dont like The Ten Thousand are the ones who say hey its not fantasy its some historical fiction novel.

I could give in Goodreads 1 rating to a romance novel and expect it to be a fantasy epic too

The long-running rights problem with the Sea-Beggars series has been resolved. Solaris will reprint all three books (the two existing ones and the new, last one) in one volume in late 2012.
