No bidding at all, i bought it from the oxfam online shop for £170 ( cheap or what) i bought it to sell really and it is still up for sale until next week though i dont really want to sell it now, i have offered it to the liverpool university to display in their John Brunner collection for a couple of years if it doesnt sell, I didnt know much of jb before i bought it but having done some research on him i have become a bit of a fan, though i must admit i have not read any of his books yet, I am more interested in his life story, his writing life really is a tale of bad luck, but even great people like van gogh were not great until after they had died, i am sure this will be true of John Brunner . i have been looking for a copy of this by ian watson (your friend mentioned him earlier in the thread)"At The Wrong End of Time: An Appreciation of John Brunner" in NEBULA AWARDS 31 edited by Pamela Sargent, i believe it is a very good portrayal of his working life and the bad luck he had. I think eventually i would like to write a book about him on his own typewriter. who knows some of his magic may rub off on me, i just hope his luck doesnt rub off on me too.
