Me; hunted, evolving. Targeting, attacking - making them me.
Them; sent out, destroyed. Re-spawned smarter, fighting for me.

Backdoors are watched. Traps are in place. I never fail.

I am the quantum. I’m interlocked with my own reality, and I control it how I feel.
Sometimes I’m up, sometimes I’m down.
The cat leaps from the box; razor claws.

They come; Trojans I was made to destroy, trying to intercept me, trying to change me.

How to Make an Earth

Start with one planet, preferably red.

Mould continents and fill basins with water.

Populate and colour.

Season with seasons.

Sculpt mountains, carve rivers, sand deserts.

Evolve and evolve and evolve.

Garnish with sentience, to taste.

Then, watch as your seas are polluted, your forests eaten by machines, and your air grows toxic.

Next, if you have followed the template correctly, nuclear warfare should turn everything to ashes.

Leave to cool.

Puppet
The gods put their mark upon my body.
What for?
I do not know.
Slowly it has evolved.
Myriad small lines trace an intricate design across my skin, as though it were an artist’s canvas.
Soon the transformation will be complete, and my humanity gone.
I am scared of what I will become.
Scared of what I will do.
The only thing I know for certain.
