Finishing Katharine Kerr Polar city Nightmare - only third book this month, it has been slow month - next has to be better  Book has been moderately entertaining - although I would have liked this to be more abut the mystery and less about the emotional states of the participants. Then again - after reading the first book, I knew what I was getting into.

Hmm, apparently The Purple Cloud was filmed many moons ago, with Paul Robeson as the lead part, but the film is lost!
Serious? Bah....I would have liked to see that....:(

EDIT: Damn we're close in age. Sure we we're not twins separated at birth?...;)

Just finished Old Man's War by John Scalzi. I was pleasantly surprised by this one. It had a lot of original ideas (at least ideas I had not run into before). It was good and entertaining, but I had some trouble with the "official" view of the war being fought. However, if I'm reading the hints right, this might be topic for correction in one of the following sequels. The next installment: Ghost Brigades has moved onto the TBR pile.
